Hi I’m Raven! I’m a performer, choreographer, and educator. I started this page to share my creative work, process, and all the things I’m learning as I dig into identity through movement.

I’m excited to share what moves me, in and out of the studio 💫

Here is a bit about me!

Raven Wilson (she/her) is an artist dedicated to inspiring a love for modern dance, showcasing art, and empowering creativity through performances. She earned her BFA with an emphasis in Modern Dance from Utah Valley University. During her time at UVU, Raven danced with the Synergy Dance Company and Contemporary Dance Ensemble (CDE). After graduating, Raven spent two years as a Pre-K teacher at the YWCA, where she wrote and taught her own creative dance curriculum to kindergarten, Pre-K, and preschool classes. She also served as the vice president for Creators Dance Project under the direction of Ashlie Carlile for two years. Raven was the director of dance at a public junior high school in Utah for 4 years. Alongside her teaching, she has had many freelance opportunities to perform with Creators Dance Project, 801 Salon, Playground Dance Project, Side Hustle Dance Project and Allium Movers. She is also a part of a Filipino dance company called Kulturang Pilipino Ensemble in Utah. Currently, she is an MFA candidate at the University of Utah in dance and choreography set to graduate in 2028. Raven looks forward to a long career in dance and is grateful to be part of such a phenomenal community.
