The last bits of my Sri Lanka Worlds trip.

Got a call on a Saturday " we need you there tomorrow " and now 8 days later im home after running my first worlds event. What an experience to say the least.

Honorary guard escort in crocs is a highlight.

Great spotting team. Made some wonderful friends from many countries. And benched 200kg 3 times.

Id very happily go back again 💪💪

PB ALERT ⚠️ 📢

220KG AT 102.5KGS! 5kg PB.

I use 170kgs as my marker in warm ups. And today it flew. So I knew today was a good day. Then 190 flew. Then 205... so... yolo right?

Also 170kgx8

Today was a good day indeed. Edging closer to that legendary status I want so bad.

Just another week down. Nothing fun. AMRAPs back for the blood flow. 190+ every day as a warm up. 128 days until Bench Bash at the Arnold's.

Bodyweight building. Next 4 weeks need to get 200+ as the marker point. Then we are on target. 💪 by @raw_strength_matt

How's training going??

I mean... Well... But man it's hard to find the "why" these days...

Here's a training video of the day to day...

205kgx1. Downward movement though. But hey... Today felt trash so that's cool.

2027 opening big event is officially here!

Matti Tikka Challenge with Matti himself putting up 20k of prizes.

And running side by side that will be a TRUE INTERNATIONAL event with World Powerliftings first Trans Tasman Clash with Team NZL coming over to throw down with the Aussies.

I am beyond excited to bring you this event!

April 11 - Longford Tasmania - Motivity Fitness

DM for questions.

Matti Tikka is a vital name in early Aus and deserves the new generations knowledge. ❤️❤️ by @raw_strength_matt

230400 minutes... That's how long I will have been in "prep" for my 3 minutes of lifting...

That's a long time.

But here we are end of week... Something... 143 days to go.

Bodyweight above 100s. 200kg back on the bar. Body feeling mostly good. We carry on.

Bench press PB! Definitely not edited 😂

150 days until the Bench Bash at the Arnold's 27'

170kg is my "tester weight". How well 170 moves or how many I can do with it always indicates what form I'm in.

My 3s with 170 are getting better every week. So therefore progress. Even if my elbows are sore as shit. The 215 from Tuesday really cooked me 🤣🤣

Any good @nickread85 ?? Hips down ?? 😘

Week 5 - Back to 190kg paused.

Forearms a bit rough. Elbow a bit sore. And it's hot.

But overall. Best start to a prep I've possibly ever had. Great base. 500lbs feels very achievable especially with 10-15 kgs of bodyweight to play with.

Nice.

Arnold's 2027 incoming.

Not many people get to number 1 at something.

Probably the same amount of people that get to do what they love for a living. I'm thankfully one of these. And even more thankful I get to work with the above.

I've had the pleasure to get to coach a few people reach the top (in Australia anyway).

A handful of Jrs over the years. I've had some opens golds (I won some too). Several benchpressers. A bunch of records. Including some worlds.

But there's a few people that stand out. Bryan obviously but he hates press so I'll leave him out of it.

But @tassellbeth is currently the strongest tested woman over 50 in Aus history regardless of weight class. On total, bench and deadlift. And that knocked @tazzybenchbabe from 1st to 2nd all time on bench (that took a long time!)

It's very cool to see people achieve their goals and then go even higher.

I love my job.

And boy howdy do I love working with Masters ❤️

Week 4 finished.

Pros -

Hair glorious

180 is back as a pretty comfy top single.

Reps with 170 are back. 150+ as primary work weight.

Pull ups and dips are consistent.

Bodyweight steady upwards.

Negatives - guts still sore, elbows only 75% but physio is helping, schedule still inconsistent with PT changes and it's hot.

163 days out from Arnold's 27'
