I’ve been a part of the Rawmana Fam for almost 10 years and it’s one of the best decisions I’ve ever made for my health & well-being. An honor to witness my son be at one with Vaka, ocean and life. Sailing aboard Hine Moana across the deep blue ocean was the fulfillment of a childhood dream. I came to realize that the vaka is more than a canoe, it is my fonua, my family, and the living spirit of my ancestors.By caring for the vaka, I learned to care for myself. It challenged me to look within, to develop my humanity, authenticity, humility, righteousness, and to understand my emotions, my anger, and my peace of mind.Navigating by the sunrise, the sunset, the winds, and the stars taught me that the greatest journey is not across the ocean, but within ourselves.The final destination is by @rawmanafit

Standing on set, surrounded by all our Pasifika people is a moment and feeling I’ll talk about forever. 💫 The first day of filming, there was a huge opening ceremony to bless the space and all the working hands to make this film a possibility. I remember a wave of emotions taking over me because this is all what we have been doing our entire lives but now…on the biggest platform of all 🥹🎬 I’ve never been so proud of a group of strangers in my life!One of the biggest blessings from this journey was finding a whole new village I now get to call my family 🛖 I came here expecting an unforgettable experience, but I left there with lifelong friendships, a family I never knew I needed, and memories I will hold close forever. ❤️ Thank you Hoochiez for every laugh, every fun rehearsal, every baddie baddie night, and every moment that reminded me why we do what we do ✨None of this would ever be possible for me if it wasn’t for my parents @idaveimau & @rawmanafit. 🥹 since I was 2 years old, they’ve dedicated their lives to teaching me not only how to dance, but how to honor and carry our Polynesian culture with pride. Every step I’ve taken, every opportunity I’ve been blessed with, carries a piece of them. They never stopped believing in me even when I stopped believing in myself. Being able to represent our culture in a film like Moana is something I’ll hold close to my heart forever. 🌀🤍 To T&K @tiana_nonosina @kay.faam… there truly aren’t enough words. Thank you for believing in us, for opening doors we never imagined we’d walk through, and for making so many of our little dancer dreams come true. This journey has been such a blessing. The people I’ve met. The memories created. The family we’ve made throughout this whole process. This has been such a humbling experience to be a part of something this big representing our people and our islands. There’s so many memories and so much to say. In this segment, we gather to celebrate the evolution of Ori, not simply as a dance, but as the living heartbeat of a people, a culture, and a way of being.Today, we honor every step of this journey called life. We celebrate the wisdom carried through generations, the stories etched into movement, and the sacred responsibility of preserving what was entrusted to us. In this culture, we are invited to be fully present, to embrace the moment, to fall in love with those who came before us, and to recognize that every teacher, every elder, every ancestor has left footprints for us to follow.Yet culture is not frozen in time. It is alive. It breathes. It grows. It evolves.Today we dance with deep reverence for the past, while expressing the creativity of the present.
