The Flinders Ranges has earned a place in Australia's first MICHELIN Guide. We're delighted to share that the @woolshedrestaurant has been included in the MICHELIN Guide South Australia 2027. The inaugural guide features 77 restaurants from across @southaustralia, with the Woolshed Restaurant among those included in the official MICHELIN Guide selection, recognised for the quality of its cuisine. A huge thank you to our dedicated team, led by Head Chef Sam Wigg, and Front of House Manager, Alisha Riwaka, our local suppliers and our valued guests for their ongoing support. This recognition reflects our passion for showcasing the flavours of the @flindersrangesandoutback, celebrating regional produce and delivering memorable dining experiences for our guests. One of the joys of exploring the Flinders Ranges is never knowing what you might come across. On this occasion, our guests had the chance to observe a family of emus going about their day, seemingly happy to take their time and enjoy the scenery. That was, of course, until Dad called. The response was immediate, with the curious chicks racing back to his side. Moments like these are part of what makes exploring the @flindersrangesandoutback with a local guide so rewarding. Beyond the spectacular scenery, it's the stories, wildlife encounters and unexpected moments that create lasting memories. Join a tour. Hear the stories. Discover more. Behind every unforgettable guest experience is a team of passionate people. Over the coming weeks, we'll be introducing some of the businesses and trades who helped bring the Oasis Eco‑Villas to life. First up is @sjmcarpentrybuilders, the principal builder responsible for transforming our vision into reality. From the earliest stages of the project, Sam played a key role in identifying the location of the villas, helping ensure each of the six new villas would capture the spectacular views of Rawnsley Bluff and the surrounding Flinders Ranges landscape. With Sam based on-site for 12 months and co-ordinating a team of up to 20 tradespeople, SJM Builders delivered an exceptional result despite one of the biggest challenges a construction project can face: the wettest year at Rawnsley Park Station since records have been kept. Thank you, Sam and the entire SJM Builders team, for the enormous contribution you've made to the Oasis Eco‑Villas. HELLO FLINDERS RANGES! Today I packed up the car with our cameraman Tom, my eleven year old Alfie and headed north to the spectacular Flinders Ranges to check out the BRAND-NEW Eco Villas at @rawnsleypark And WOWWWWW. There are just SIX of these beautiful new villas and each one has its own pool overlooking one of the most ridiculous views of the ranges. Honestly… you could sit there ALL day. The sunset. The restaurant. The pool. Those VIEWS. And that Flinders Ranges magic that gets me every single time. Cannot wait to show you this one on @hellosatv! 💖 South Australia… you are bloody beautiful. Turns out the Flinders Ranges is having a moment in New Zealand. 'Stuff' ran a travel piece last week about Kiwis trading the poolside holiday for something more active, and the trip they wrote about is ours. Liz and Alan from Gisborne rode seven days through the ranges with us in July, about 40 kilometres a day, after their cycling trip to Armenia and Georgia fell over and they needed a plan B. "It was not at all what we expected, but in a good way. It was so much more," Liz told Stuff. Yellow footed rock wallabies, a snake sunning itself with a falcon watching on, and an Adnyamathanha elder walking the group fifty metres off the road to show them petroglyphs of megafauna that most people drive straight past without ever knowing they are there. Since the article ran the enquiries have not stopped and a few more 2027 seats have gone with them. May and June are already gone. July and September have space and August is getting limited. Seven days, a support vehicle the whole way so you ride what you feel like riding, and a finish in the Clare Valley with a very cold riesling in hand. If this one has been sitting on your someday list, 2027 is the year to stop thinking about it. Article link in the first comment. This is why we head to Chace Range at sunset. A recent meteorologist-led study commissioned by Kuoni Travel UK evaluated more than 150 sunset destinations around the globe, with the Flinders Ranges ranked #14 in the world and one of only two Australian destinations to make the top 20. For guests on our Sunset on Chace 4WD Tour, this golden-hour spectacle comes with panoramic views and a front-row seat to watch the colours dance across the landscape, accompanied by a glass of sparkling wine and gourmet canapés prepared by the @woolshedrestaurant No filters. No crowds. Just the @flindersrangesandoutback at its most beautiful. 📍 Chace Range, Flinders Ranges Explore Rawnsley Park Station's guided 4WD touring experiences via our link in bio. #rawnsleypark #flindersrangesandoutback #seesouthaustralia #seeaustralia #woolshedrestaurant #sunsetlovers #accommodation #4WD by @rawnsleypark
