inspired by Perfect Days.

a few fragments from japan —
not exactly how it was,
but how it stayed with me.

a reflection of memory, perception
and the quiet moments in between. 🎞️

Still thinking about the shapes & colors of Japan. 🇯🇵
Visual diary throwback.
Somewhere along the way, I developed a slight obsession with buildings.

Perhaps the siren’s song sounds like the life we think we’re missing. Everything we want to have. Everyone we hope to become.

And while we listen, what we love quietly becomes what we loved.

I’m learning to care for what is here, knowing I cannot make it stay. To choose how I live, even when I cannot choose what happens.

One day, this ordinary moment may be what I long to return to.

I was just filming a camera move in Tokyo when a stranger walked into frame.

Then I started bending time.

A few seconds stretched, reversed, and caught somewhere between a film opening and a fever dream.

Just an ordinary moment that stopped feeling ordinary.

It’s hard to feel like you’re making progress when you can’t see the results yet.

Maybe this season is about growing roots.

A reminder for myself, and anyone quietly figuring things out.

One of my favorite things about these wild concert weekends: meeting creative people you instantly click with. 🖤
Thanks Kata for the shots & the good vibes — felt like meeting a creative soulmate. 📸🎥 @visualsofkata by @rawrealjournal
