So here's all the paintings I did this semester in ✨Painting I✨
Not in order obviously, and I had to crop them funky.
But there they are.
So cutesie.
This got me an "Academic" award for Excellence in Painting I, but excellence in a freshman class as a senior...?
I'd like to add that almost all of these took less than six hours total to sketch/trace, underpaint, and paint, so they aren't exactly top notch.
And the colors are all over because of the way we scanned them in.
But whatever.

"What feels like the end is often the beginning"

Thank you for seeing me through these what, 13 years? Whether you're a teacher I loved, a friend I made, a crush I had, or an acquaintance I've somehow already forgotten, thank you. You have no idea how much I needed you.

Obviously there's been downs, but they only serve to make the ups more brilliant. From communal breakdowns outside the choir room and nosebleeds in the bathroom, to sprained knees on stage and crutches in concert halls. If it weren't for them, I wouldn't have anything from trading soda for chicken in the cafeteria and lipstick marks in the makeup room, to cheesecake on the floor and seventh hour gossip.

I am sad to leave. But isn't that such an amazing thing? To be able to miss highschool? I may cry at my last concert, but only because I've made so many friends and memories that it hurts to say goodbye. I might hurt while signing yearbooks, but only because I loved you well enough to miss you.

I am glad to be able to pursue new things. But I would not be who I am, where I am, or how I am without you. Pretty much every single person who would think to look at this picture. My first friend in highschool, my best friend since pre-K, my middle school cohort, my backstage confidants. The drama teacher who took a chance on me, the history teachers who made me laugh, the youth leaders who believed in me.

I know what I write here is just for a silly Instagram post, and there's no reason to wax poetic, but I like to imagine some of you will read it and know just how much I love you, because I cannot show it enough. Whether I only saw you in show choir, or followed you everywhere. I see you, and I try to be like you. I think you are so cool (Yeah some of you who don't know me well I KNOW YOU so assume it's about you). It sucks that I love so many of you and look up to you, and you'll never even know it.

So thank you so much for loving me, or hating me, hating me while I loved you, or trying to love me while I hated you for no reason.

You made life worth living.

Prom 2024✨
I went!
And it was 1000% better than last year.
I didn't cry once!
I'm so glad I got to go with some of my best friends in the whole world, you guys made this the best prom ever.
I love you guys.
AND YOU ALL LOOKED SO PRETTY WHAT???
And yes, my heel did completely detach.
And yes, we did blast Chappell on the way home.

✨THESPIAN OF THE YEAR✨
That's me baybee!
I'm so proud of all of you, y'all are so amazing.
I'm so happy I could end my Santa Fe years with this title, because theatre has been the biggest part of my life the whole time.
Thank you Carr for letting me participate at Heartland, and thank you Robin for taking a chance on me when I was a freshman. I don't know where I'd be without theatre. I've met my favorite people and made my favorite memories.
I've also now been in 11 Santa Fe shows, (not counting HWTW, but including Debut) and I believe that's more than anyone currently attending Santa Fe. So even if I'm not *technically* a four year member (or a two year drama student - don't know how I got the chord), I hope you all remember me for putting everything into this place and these people.
