My favorite LU Links! Hyrule and Wild are fighting for 4th with Hyrule in the lead. He's grown on me xD

I love how Four on a platform is still barely taller than Legend lmao!

(Based on the Four Swords Adventures level end screen.)

I got asked on tumblr if I could share some headcanons for my favorite LU Links. I yapped a whole lot and drew some things! Here's the art!

1-6) There are so many ways to hc how the Four Sword works. In Minish Cap, the sword makes these ghost looking copies without being truly split like Four is later. I was playing with the idea that what if the sword can still do that? Could Legend tap into the elemental powers infused into the blade? Could Hyrule direct the copies independently?

I always love when the different elements show up between the colors/copies in their designs or abilities.

7) Four has a cat named Tongs the Benevolent + Four with migraines. Tongs has my whole heart. (Tongs is the creation of blueskullcandy (AO3) aka fuckit-hero-of-trains (tumblr.))

I also think there's something poignant about giving the clever character headaches. Something to impede a strength of his. If his headaches are worsened by light, then it also gives him something in common with Shadow ;v;

Twi and Tongs are here to help him out.

8) Wind picked up a pumpkin sprout on Skyloft! Wind has to admit that Twi, Sky, and Wild's pumpkin soup is pretty good (not as good as Grandma's, but still pretty good.) He's been given a pumpkin sprout to plant at home. It lives in one of his bottles. Its name is Soup!

9) Taako from The Adventure Zone. Queering the characters into oblivion with thoughts on genderfluid / gender non-conforming Legend. I think he'd dig Taako's vibe.

2024!

Hey ✨ Just don't look at the date I'm posting this asdjfshjsfs

This year I made some comics that people really liked, messed around with colors, did some school stuff, had fun with AUs, and made friends. :D

I had a really phenomenal summer as well. (I was even able to draw some stuff while at my camp job omg???) We had a really strong staff team last year. It's almost time to go again and I can't wait! >:D

This was the summer of scibbiddi toilet and sigma ohio. Lake gang. Runaway canoe, night canoes, and canoe dog. A couple critters go hiking. Space lake. Chimney mouse. LU irl with water fights and black widows. Please let me sleep on flat ground. Night penguin dance party. Ballad of the Beam 2024! oh and the milk camper.

Wind and Spirit have a bad time in the Sacred Realm!

Here's an animatic and some art from my (discontinued) spirit tracks x LU fic!

The scenes for the fall of the sacred realm and train fight (train fight!) are up on AO3! The fic is The Chase Towards a Future by raycatz.

The project isn't something I think I'll be finishing, but that said, it's been fun to work on. I wanted to share what I'm proudest of, so that's what's up on AO3 lol. (people can post isolated scenes- that's a thing, right? 'xD )

I know it's just a silly unfinished fic and some art and maybe I'll come back to it, however, I am just a little guy with so much gratitude! The project meant so much at the time! It meant so much to me to be so welcomed by the LU fandom when I initially posted the Spirit Tracks LU art compilations in 2021. The art and fic couldn't have been made without the incredible art, writing, support, and headcanon brainstorming from the people around me and the inspiration I found in their works and ideas.

Thank you so much for the support and enthusiasm up to now.

--

1-5) Fall of the sacred realm

6) working out the mechanics of "if Legend jumps out of the train and misses his target, will he be run over?"

7-9) Train fight!

10) Boss Battle ! Wind concept

zolanort over on tumblr made a "Who has the best [worst] tanlines" graphic and it's one of the funniest things I've seen. The closer you look at it the better it gets! I was inspired to draw goofs!

I was matching Legend when I came back from camp last summer xD Just add a farmer's tan too and there you have it. The sock tan is so real. Zola's art including tan lines for Legend's rings, omgggg

Affirmations Four (and get it together Four)

Meme'd that one drawing of Four because I think he's sweet. I need to tape him to my monitor.

theegh0st over on tumblr's ghostie discord pfp looks kinda like a bird so I took that and ran!

My sky kid is showing them the realms!

(Ghost's art is wonderful! I really recommend checking them out, esp to the LU fans following me!)

(ft. motivational sky kid. You have art block? I have art block? If we put the blocks together we have a tower. I'm not sure if that helps at all but hey, we've made something.

Thank you to Ghost, Zola, and Izzie for playing along xD Also Squash, who the last one was for <3 )

Some grumpy dudes

2) Wind-y comic-y doodles from around the time Twi was still injured.

It was going to go like this:

Hyrule: *pokes Wind who's laying on the floor*
Wind: *cough cough sniffle* I'm sick you can't bully me.
Hyrule: *poking fun* Sick as a dog? (haha funny pirate joke because Wind's a pirate)
Wind: *huge sobby eyes* We can't make that joke anymore.

It doesn't work as well now that Twi's better, but at the time, it was definitely too soon to be making dog jokes LMAO And Wind's a pirate! How sad to not be able to make the pirate jokes auuUH a double whammy!

3) Was messing around with Hyrule's design a little bit. The drawing of Hyrule in the water was largely inspired by a piece by @/mmmwafflesart, so please please please go show Waffles some love. Their art is just amazing.

Stepladder!!!

4) Hyrule vs Dark Link

All of these were from around January 2023.

Fizzgig pt. 1/2

For an ask response from tumblr!

I drew BowWow as a ginormous fizzgig and a fizzgig as a little chain chomp. The gigantic BowWow fizzgig is terrifying lmao! (I love how it looks like totoro hahaha!)

So many of Thra's creatures are highly detailed and organic in shape or sharp and chitinous. Imagining running across a loz chain chomp in Thra, just- here's a gigantic perfectly round metallic(?) sphere. It would be absurd. I love it.

(a Linked Universe x The Dark Crystal AU yaaaay!)

Instagram cropping, my beloathed.

Once again this is from my Linked Universe x The Dark Crystal AU.
He's falling!!! The background is kind of a panel redraw from Power of the Dark Crystal. I really like the scene between Kensho and Thurma at the pool of tears and was thinking it'd be sweet to do something similar for Shadow and the colors. ;v; if you know you know. Let them hug.

Four doesn't have wings himself but the roc's cape would make a good glider or double jump.
