After we published our research exposing Mohsen Mahdawi’s extremism, he disappeared down a conspiracy rabbit hole and claimed that “Israeli Mossad” had hacked his Facebook.

Nonsense, of course.

But he also told people they should judge him by his “words and actions.”

I actually thought that was a good idea, so I laid out some of them in this table.

A Vermont synagogue plans to hold a legal-aid fundraiser this weekend for Mohsen Mahdawi, the pro-Hamas ideologue with a history of praising Palestinian terrorists and, according to federal court records, boasting that he built modified 9-millimeter submachine guns “to kill Jews.”

Beth Jacob Synagogue in Montpelier is co-sponsoring the August 9 fundraiser and says donations “will directly go to Mahdawi’s” legal expenses. Mahdawi, a Palestinian green-card holder who is fighting a U.S. deportation order to Jordan, is scheduled to speak at the synagogue event, slated to be held at the Unitarian Universalist Church in Montpelier.

Sadly and I mean very sadly - none of this surprises me…after what I’ve experienced since I moved here and particularly since i started taking an interest in politics after 10/7, we have a community full of suicidal empaths who don’t know their ass from their elbow when it comes to Israel and Judaism and refuse to take their head out of the sand. Oh they may well be accomplished in their careers but right from wrong. Nah. History repeats itself alright. Thank you @raychfeldman and @david_collier_il for exposing this nonsense. Have you lost your mind?

J Street is now urging supporters to stand with Mohsen Mahdawi.

This isn't about Donald Trump.
It isn't about Benjamin Netanyahu.
It isn't about settlements or a two-state solution.

It is about judgement.

Before publicly campaigning for someone, shouldn't a self-described Zionist organisation examine the evidence?

Over the past year, together with researcher @raychfeldman I investigated Mahdawi. We uncovered evidence that raises serious questions about the public narrative surrounding him, including material in which he expresses support for what he calls the "resistance" and invokes the founders of Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad.

Yet none of this appears in J Street's appeal.

Instead, supporters are asked to rally behind him as though there is nothing more to know.

They claim to speak for the "Jewish Community". They are aligning themselves with a lying, manipulative, terrorist supporter.

Read the evidence and judge for yourself.

Because when an American Jewish organisation begins defending someone who openly aligns himself with organisations committed to murdering Jews, it has not merely lost its political compass.

It is leading American Jews off a cliff.
