BEYOND THE ORDINARY 🧿🩵 @mosaicist SWIMMING POOL OR A WORK OF ART? 🫪😱

Forget ordinary blue tiles 😮‍💨😮‍💨 This is where art, craftsmanship, and imagination collide.

Watch mosaic artist Ray Corral and his team at @mosaicist transform an ordinary swimming pool into an extraordinary underwater masterpiece, one meticulously placed mosaic tile at a time.

From the first design sketches to fabrication and final installation, every detail is part of a remarkable creative journey.

What makes @mosaicist truly exceptional? They’re the only company in the United States taking mosaic projects from concept and design through manufacturing to complete installation, all under one roof.

The result? A swimming pool that becomes a living canvas, where art doesn’t just hang on walls. It lives beneath the water. 💙

THE QUESTION IS: Would you swim in this masterpiece or spend all day admiring it? 👀👇

Artist: Ray Corral
Design & Execution: @mosaicist

Save this for your next dose of design inspiration and share it with someone who believes art belongs everywhere.

Whatever your mind can believe and conceive, it can achieve... or we live in a simulation... or...However you want to accredit these types of encounters. Here is proof there is something greater than us or simply something greater we have yet to master within us.

I recently been pushing and searching how can I recreate older arcade games into micro mosaic pixel artpieces, it hasn't been as easy as I thought and it's the reason you don't see full panel arcade screen recreated in mosaic... yes we've all seen the space invaders and or Mario pixel but not the whole entire game experience translated to mosaic ...just last night in bed I'm serching and ai and googling.. how to get the artwork and the mathematics to make it ...

Just an hour ago I'm having casual lunch with an associate. As I walk out, this guy mentions my haircut, I felt an attraction to speak with him, that split second your intuition said "stop and listen " and I always pay really close attention to myself, always. After a couple of sentences, he mentions who he is. My story ends here with this comment. Drop your 2% about your same experiences ...

Ed Miller: If you mean Ed Miller connected to the original arcade Space Invaders, he was an important American arcade-industry executive—not the game’s programmer or designer.

Ed Miller was president of Taito America during the period when Space Invaders exploded in popularity in the U.S.

He was involved in the decision to bring the Japanese game into the American market. Taito America ultimately licensed Space Invaders to Midway, rather than waiting for Taito’s planned U.S. manufacturing operation.
Miller later became president and CEO of Centuri, the Florida-based arcade company, in 1980.

He left Centuri in 1982 and subsequently formed Telko Properties, working with former Centuri/Techstar people on game licensing.
He was therefore part of the business side of the early arcade revolution, particularly the transition of Japanese arcade hits into the American market. taken in Coral Gables, Florida by @raycorralartist

🇮🇹 Mosaicist founder and design director Ray Corral was given the opportunity to lecture to the graduating class of the world's most prestigious mosaic school, the Scuola Mosaicisti del Friuli in Spilimbergo, Italy - @scuolamosaicistifriuli , and is honored to be featured in their annual compendium. This institution is a living testament to centuries of Italian mastery, and these graduates are its next chapter.

✨ Grateful beyond words for his place, even a small one, in their story.

SCUOLA MOSAICISTI DEL FRIULI - L'INCONTRO CON RAY CORRAL

Throughout the academic year, there are frequent opportunities for students to meet not only professionals and experts in the art of mosaics, but also researchers, practitioners and technicians from specific sectors who, through their experiences and insights, offer food for thought and suggestions for understanding and engaging with particular aspects of the world of work and the contemporary art scene.

Among the distinguished figures the School has welcomed is the American artist and entrepreneur Ray Corral, who, with generosity and enthusiasm, shared his story as a mosaic artist and provided an insight into the mosaic market overseas, where he operates through his company MOSAICIST Inc.
Ray Corral brings an international perspective, having specialised in mosaic cladding for large architectural surfaces, both interior and exterior, for public and private clients. Corral designs the sketches, incorporating images and creative concepts that meet the needs and wishes of his various clients, whilst also overseeing the execution, evaluating compositional and technical solutions that are in keeping with his creative and design vision. His work is therefore creative, successfully combining contemporary iconographic and stylistic choices on a large scale; yet when it comes to planning the work and coordinating the efforts of all the tradespeople who report to him by @raycorralartist
