My mission this day was to find the Sistine Chappel before it closed, so I hoofed it all over Vatican City. First, the scale of St. Peter’s blew my mind — art & architecture alike had me walking around in awe. Straight up. Later that day, as I sunk deeper into the Vatican museum I noticed some familiar structuring. Love that all was directed towards the heavens. Photography is forbidden in the Chapel but I did make it 15 mins before close! taken in Vaticano, Roma by @rayfluxin

Okay, amici! I’m pickin’ this up where I left off almost a year ago. Yeah, sue me. What are ya gonna do? I ended up in Roma for 2-3 days unexpectedly in late January. I’m more of a loosey-goosey planner when it comes to traveling. I solidify a few tings then let life carry me away, much like in my day to day. But when in Rome — you don’t have a normal day! Road trip to check out the Van Gogh museum. Wintery vibes. A few snap shots of a perfect little city. I’m obsessed with Amsterdam’s architecture. Fashion was on point as well.

On the way back to Cologne, we stopped at a random McDonald’s in the middle of nowhere Netherlands. It had a twilight zone vibe for real. I didn’t dare ruin the magic with a picture. Families dining in. Choosing mostly “meatless & fish” options. It was so novel. They were incredibly slow on our to go order’s though loll :( taken in Amsterdam, Netherlands by @rayfluxin

Last fall, I decided I would start 2025 off with a wild trip (think: a very unintentional Eat Pray Love).

I schemed to go far far away to visit some very cool people I don’t get to see much these days. It was truly a time. Or so I’d hoped it would be.

Turns out the day I arrived in Portugal was the day the Eaton & Palisades fires broke out in LA. I was pretty shook and unsure of whether or not I should head back to Los Feliz — how could I enjoy a vacation while my heart was in a knot? I had to take it day by day, same as everyone else back home.

All that being said, I was off to a cautious yet chill start to what would become a winding journey across Europe.

Despite the time lost to stress & a recurring bout of flu, I’d be returning to Lisbon in a few weeks on my way back to ‘the States’.

For now, enjoy these taster snaps of Lisboa’s parks, its art and its wild fowl :)

2024 what a freakin year you’ve been. I’ve been pretty lowkey but that’s the way it should be. Lots of transformation, internal and external. The year I made besties with the gym, the beach, and my much neglected pool. I love my life, my friends, family and shout out to myself, I always have my back. Here’s to 2025. Let’s see what you got. by @rayfluxin

Time to start updating (& upgrading) this grid. Thought I could hide away from conceiving perfect quippy little captions and stress frame-clearing every pic I take for the rest of my days, however, it’s proven unavoidable. Please be kind as I arrange clever words & dynamic scenes for your endless doomscrolling enjoyment 😘
