RABOTEK is where electronic club music and Afro-diasporic sounds intersect, drawing inspiration from the fusion sound of Mani Saint and DJ Prospekt. Expect to be transported by a blend of genres flowing into one continuous 5-hour groove. It’s a night built around the dancefloor, where the DJs take a step back from the spotlight and the focus returns to the music and the people moving to it.

Join us at @bardatcha on October 22nd! Dancing is non-negotiable.. 😤🚨

A night curated by:

@raylhem
@iluvjeysyano
@djprospekt
+ Special @blackberrysaint perfomance!

Meet MLLE CEE @mllecee_ 👹 : A multidisciplinary DJ artist with haitian roots. Her musical journey in an exploration of diverse sounds, ranging from Acid bouyon and Shatta to Afrohouse, Afrotech and baile funk. Every set she mixes is an invitation to an adventurous journey, where rythms and melodies blend to create a vibrant atmosphere.

Meet JEY SYANO @iluvjeysyano 👹 : A member of Diasporidm & No Sugar, he is a montreal-based DJ originally from Haiti. Consumer of raw techno but also melodic afro rhythmic sounds, he balances percussion, intensity and groove in a blend that keeps the energy high on the dance floor!

Meet RAYLHEM @raylhem👹 : An avid listener of multiple afro-electronic and carribean genres, my love story with music started in the backseat of my parents’ car listening to old-school Zouk and Kompa classics. And ever since then, music has bookmarked every chapter of my life. When I think about my parent’s old car, all the songs we used to listen to come back to mind. Because, more than beats & voices or drops & breaks, music has always been about emotions & moments, memories & history.

Meet DJ PROSPEKT @djprospekt 👹 :
Montreal-based, Brazilian DJ and producer specializing in global sounds, able to bring the dancefloor into new and unpredictable directions through his ability to blend and fuse genres to taken in Montreal, Quebec by @raylhem

Raylhem’s sets blend pulsating drums from Kuduro (Angola), Batida (Portugal) & Gqom (South-Africa) to the lively melodies of Raboday (Haïti), Bouyon (Caribbean) and Baile (Brazil), among others. His love of music is international and he takes pride in exploring the soundscapes of the Diaspora.
