I’m late to the game with my David’s Tent recap. I’ve been trying to find any words that even begin to scratch the surface because I think it was the most special event I’ve ever been to. I’ve never felt more centered in the will & purpose of God for my life than worshipping in a big tent in the middle of nowhere in a field in England with thousands of people from all over the globe. I had the unbelievable honor to get to lead a set & I genuinely don’t think I’ve ever been more humbled by anything. I was so encouraged that nobody cared about who was on stage, there was no frill, no entertainment, no chairs, people were camping in tents. Just a group of people in love with Jesus gathering together to bless Him for 72 hours of nonstop worship just because He’s worthy of a gift like that. He’s worthy of our time & attention & us getting in the mud & the rain & the heat & the cold & traveling far & wide. The only thing people were looking to be impressed with was Jesus. The hungry get fed. And boyyy did we.

I felt so valued for what the Lord has fashioned my voice to contribute to the symphony of worship in the earth, but at the same time, I felt like an awesomely small puzzle piece in the grand scheme of the Body of Christ. It’s really when we understand our insignificance that we truly understand our significance. I am just dust without the breath of God, I can do nothing good apart from Him. AND YET through no deed of my own, I have captured His attention & have the privilege of moving His heart in a way that nobody else specifically can. David’s Tent understands this & beautifully makes space for this reality.

The DT team is remarkable in their intentionality & humility, award winning in character & kindness & generosity, & the most joyful servants I’ve ever seen. From the top tier of leadership down to people picking up trash and stage hands, I felt the heart & joy of Jesus in everything they put their hand to. They are the embodiment of doing everything as unto the Lord. They are absolutely the real deal.

Tonight just got a little more interesting.

Our friends Dasher The Band have a scheduling conflict and will be rescheduled for a future date, but we’re keeping the night rolling with two incredible songwriters: Rachel Morley and David Leonard.

We’re thrilled to have them with us at The Bourbon Gospel tonight. Around here, you never know when a holy moment might show up in the most unlikely place, or happen when the night writes its own story.

And to all of you who continue to show up, support these nights, and help build this community into something truly special, thank you. We couldn’t do it without you.

We’d love to have you with us for the full weekend!

But if you can’t make all 72 hours, Day Tickets are available too.
