professionalism competitions hate to see me coming💫

This year, I had the privilege to attend the 2026 SkillsUSA National Leadership & Skills Conference in Atlanta, Georgia. At this conference, my wonderful teammate and I presented our chapters’ Detox Donations Clothing Drive- in an effort to be named the top Models of Excellence Chapter in Workplace Skills.

Throughout this project, it often felt nearly impossible to imagine ourselves finishing at the top. I joined the team just two weeks before our presentation, placing us in a uniquely challenging position- we had to write, refine, and memorize our material in less time than ever before. Despite the odds, our commitment and determination carried us through, ultimately earning us recognition as one of the top chapters in the nation.

This achievement is not a reflection of being unprepared; rather, it is proof that passion, perseverance, and dedication can overcome even the most difficult circumstances. Our experience demonstrates that greatness is often forged in moments of uncertainty and adversity.

I am filled with immense gratitude. Not only for the opportunity to be a member of SkillsUSA, but for the privilege of witnessing students from across the nation discover the same passion and purpose that this incredible organization has given me.

So much of who I am today is because of @skillsusa , and this achievement would not have been possible without @imxindecisive and @tcatpulaski . Thank you for believing in me and making this journey unforgettable. ❤️‍🔥 taken in Atlanta, Georgia by @rayneforests
