The things we do for our children. 🤣 by @rayofsunshine45
As fall settles in and winter creeps closer, it’s time to plant seeds that will thrive in the cooler months. Sugar pod snow peas and cilantro are great options for the cooler months. October is the perfect time to get these seeds in the garden bed and start growing fresh greens for the season ahead. by @rayofsunshine45
Story Time: When I was a kid my dad would make us potato pancakes with our leftover mashed potatoes, so this was the inspiration for today's breakfast. As I looked in the fridge trying to decided what to make for breakfast. I saw the leftover mashed sweet potatoes and had an idea! I was going attempt to make sweet potato pancakes, shaped as pumpkins. Since I'm not a pumpkin spice gal, sweet potatoes would be a perfect option. No recipe, just here throwing ingredients together in my kitchen. 🤪 Here it is: 2 cups of mashed sweet potatoes 1 cup of flour 1 egg 1 tsp baking powder (to help pancakes rise) Dash of cinnamon Pinch of salt 1/3 cup of milk (recommend 1/2 cup for a thinner batter) the thickness of the batter did help shape the pumpkins 1 very small handful of baking dark chocolate chips cut in halves. Mix, pour onto the griddle, shape into pumpkin, and add chocolate chips for the facial features! Some of the chocolate melted all over the pancake faces, so if you have a better way to add the chocolate chips, please comment below! This was such a fun breakfast to make, and my child LOVED it! Enjoy! by @rayofsunshine45
What a fun weekend with family and friend's celebrating Halloween at Patagonia Lake. We played games, the kids painted pumpkins, played in the water, fished, hiked, biked, completed puzzles, belly laughed, ate some really yummy food. The weather was beautiful, and all the kids loved it. by @rayofsunshine45
In your head? Go outside. I don’t know about you, but I’m SO grateful summer is over and it’s FINALLY starting to cool down! If I didn’t have a family here, I probably wouldn’t live in Arizona. Being cooped up inside all summer is not good for my mental health. Being outside, exercise, fresh air, and connecting with nature is the medicine my soul needs. by @rayofsunshine45

Project: Get Organized I am committed to going through every room, every drawer and closet before the end of the year. Everything holds energy. Remove items that hold old identities and old versions of you, so that you can maks space for expansion & growth. Feeling stuck mentally, creatively? Get rid of stuff. Clear your space to make room for all the blessings that are already on their way. An organized clean space = a balance of yin & yang Harmony between realms. A clear space = a clear mind Love & Light by @rayofsunshine45
My mini rant on decluttering, organizing and removing materials from my life. Material things that drive me crazy, printed pictures and cards. Years go by and they just continue to pile up. The gesture is thoughtful, but why store it for years. If you keep those memories in your head, it's less clutter. Less clutter equals a clear mind. A clear mind is a more productive mind, a peaceful mind... The older I get the less material items I want. I'm getting close to the age of when my mother died and it makes me think... I don't ever want my material items to be a burden on my family. I've always wondered why it's so easy for me to detach from material things. Why people are so attached to material things? What's the psychology behind it? Someday, we will pass and none of the material things in this world with come with us. Why hold on to it? Let go, live and be free of physical and mental clutter. by @rayofsunshine45

As you drive into Catalina, winding up the hill toward a quiet dirt road, something begins to shift. A mixture of excitement and anticipation. The feeling of knowing you’re about to experience something special. You park, open the car door, and breathe in the desert air. The earthy scent, the stillness, the sounds of nature that are so easily lost in the noise of everyday life. You make your way up the dirt path toward the home, and that anticipation slowly begins to soften into peace. You already know you’re glad you chose to be here. You step inside, wander out to the back porch, and take in the view. You find your way to the porch swing, settle in, and imagine all the moments that will unfold here. The conversations. The laughter. The quiet mornings. The moments when nothing is expected of you. Just being. Every detail of The Gathering has been thoughtfully considered to awaken the senses.
