I am a jack of good taste, but a believer in just one. I won’t be able to tell you 20 different types of watches, where the leather came from or if the maker meditates facing the Himalayas before assembling them. . What I can tell you is this: when I buy something, I want it to be the one.
The one I will reach for over and over again. The one that still feels right years later. That’s how I buy almost everything.

About 15 years ago, I found a set of red wine glasses and it was love at first sight. Back then having shifted to a new house we barely had two sofas, and every other sentence out of my mouth was, “We need a dining table.” But somehow, I already had my red glasses.

I still have them today.

They have been there for dinner parties, random Wednesdays, birthdays, celebrations, and weekends when too many people showed up. They have quietly outlasted trends, Pinterest boards, and several versions of what I thought my home should look like.

Maybe that’s why I have never understood the rush of a new collection every few months.

The bag you bought last year should still feel right today.

The chair you chose should still belong.

And the glasses you fell in love with shouldn’t feel like they need replacing just because it’s a new year.

The best things become familiar. Fifteen years later, those red glasses still look exactly where they belong.

That’s really it.

I think I could happily eat off this colour every day.

@chefbani put this table together and I love the yellow and green with those plates. The only thing I enjoy more than her tables is her humour. 😂

And tomorrow I get my plates from @lazysuzanhome to do up this one at home. You all are invited.

Now all we need is a lunch that goes on for three hours. Somebody pass the butter, please.

It’s 7am. That’s when the paper arrives. The same way it has for years. The guy on the bicycle throws it over the gate. I like reading the newspaper in the morning and a phone screen just can’t replace it. The rustle of the pages, the news is crap mostly but a few editorial pieces tempts me to read the same story twice over a cup of coffee.

Maybe it’s nostalgia, but I still like getting my dose of the world this way. Before the notifications, the messages and the hundred other things asking for my attention.

And the glass? Cold brew, hot brew, juice or whatever else you fancy.

Can you guess where was this taken?

I remember looking up at all that colour and thinking about how happy it felt. Just beautiful colours, all living together. I kept coming back to it.

And that feeling became our tumblers. A year of colours, samples, changes, testing and drinking out of them later…

they’re finally here.

These are now my new favourites. I have used them extensively before getting them to you. From my coffee tonic to picante to lemonades to just plain water. Use them through the day for everything.
As an added bonus, they make the table come alive!! Will show you soon. Just a couple more finishing touches. by @rayt_glassware

We don’t invent colors. We just find them.

in lotus buds still wrapped in their own leaves.

In a starfish resting on sea green sand.

In the doorway of a haveli that’s been that colour longer than any of us have been alive.

Nature Green, Chance Blush, and the All Feels Pink.
nature’s been putting these together for a while. we just started paying attention. so has @rosannafalconer. Her tables have been saying this for longer than we have.
