New York was extremely special. Not only did we bring it to the home of Sean and his loved ones, but it was the 19th anniversary of his passing and what would’ve been he and Nicole’s wedding day. The feels, the feels…

I’ll say it a million times, this story should not have to be retold because it simply shouldn’t have happened. Although we can’t control what has been, we can follow in @nicolepbell s footsteps and control how we handle it. With so much grace and love!! ❤️ All of this for #seanbell because he deserves to feel how much he meant in a world that can at times be so cruel. Forever living on in our hearts 🕊️

Carmen and Somaya share a melody over brunch. Carmen has been diligently working for Platinum Prime Records, but is she genuinely content with her current situation? Tune in to Episode 5: “Recoil” that is NOW STREAMING on @watchallblk and @primevideo

Dannnnngggggg…Somaya didn’t even have to play Carm like that. Carm wrote like six songs on the album 😳…Idk yall…Should she be grateful for the opportunity or is Somaya wrong for not being a real one and shedding light on her bestie’s work?

Tonight’s premiere of Aftershock: The Nicole P. Bell Story brought together some of the lead people who have carried this fight from the beginning. I stood on the red carpet with Nicole P. Bell, whose strength has guided this journey, along with her and Sean’s daughters Jada and Jordyn, her daughter Annabelle, her mother Laura, and members of the Bell family including Valerie Bell, Sean’s mother, and Delores Bell, Sean’s sister.

Also pictured with producer Manny Halley, Richard Lawson who plays me in the film, and members of the cast, including Rayven Ferrell and Bentley Green, who portray Nicole and Sean Bell in the film. Their dedication to sharing this story with purpose and care was felt throughout the night.

It was also meaningful to see longtime NAN members and supporters, including Korey Wise of the Exonerated Five, who stood with us during the early days of the Sean Bell movement and continues to stand for justice today.

From speaking with the press to greeting supporters, the evening was a reminder of why we do this work and why Sean Bell’s story must continue to be told.

Please continue to keep the entire Bell family in your prayers, along with all those who were impacted by the killing of Sean Bell. Go see this film and support it. It is important to the movement and important to never forget what happened to Sean.

Aftershock opens in theaters November 28 and arrives on digital platforms December 15.

Extremely excited for the world to see!

In Theaters November 28th! 💃🏾🙏🏾 @aftershockthemovie @rocnation @imanimediagroup

💔 50 SHO*S. ONE LOVE STORY INTERRUPTED.
On the morning of his wedding day, Sean Bell should’ve been saying “I do.”
Instead, he became a national headline — a tragedy that shook the nation.
Now, his fiancée Nicole P Bell, who turned her grief into activism, brings her truth to the big screen.
A story of faith, heartbreak, and resilience — a film that forces America to remember.
