@razdevchonka creates surreal worlds populated by post-Soviet imagery, internet culture, fashion codes, absurd situations, and a persistent sense of irony. Across these environments, one figure appears again and again: the artist herself. Or at least, someone presented as the artist. This recurring presence becomes one of the most interesting aspects of the work. The videos never fully operate as self-representation, but neither do they function as pure fiction. The same person moves through scenarios that range from the plausible to the improbable, shifting between protagonist, avatar, model, performer, and constructed character. The result is a productive ambiguity. It becomes difficult to determine whether we are watching the work of an artist or the continuous performance of an identity. The distinction itself starts to lose relevance. This tension feels particularly connected to the present moment, where social media, self-representation, content creation, and artistic practice increasingly overlap. The artist becomes the subject, the medium, the distribution channel, and sometimes the artwork itself. In Sasha’s case, the question is not whether the images are real.
