Waking up this morning to the worst news ever that my great and long time friend and mentor of all that was underground has passed. R.I.P. Mark Sawickis. Thank you for teaching me everything about obscure metal and movies, and allowing me the chance to work with you on so many incredible projects over the decades. If anybody knows me and @jill_girardi , you’ll know that there never would have been a @razorbackrecords without IMPETIGO. The greatest death metal band EVER. Mark, I hope you have finally found peace, brother. Thank you for everything that you did for me - @billyrazorback by @razorbackrecords
THE COVEN ZINE 1990 - 1992 collection BOOK is IN STOCK! **Grab your copy from @razorbackrecords & @evilspeakproductions (online store link in bio!)** 🪓 THE COVEN Zine was the early ‘90s Death Metal, Grindcore, Black Metal, and Doom Metal fanzine from Billy Nocera, the madman behind RAZORBACK RECORDS, EVILSPEAK MAGAZINE, and bands such as VAULTWRAITH, SURGIKILL, and many more, as well as the author of the book WASTE CITY: Splatterific & Sleazeotronic Movies. THE COVEN Zine Collection 1990 - 1992: Death Metal Days of a Horror-Worshiping Freak collects all 3 issues of this cult, underground fanzine that had documented a specific time in the older days of the Death Metal scene, right as the genre exploded into the mainstream and gave birth to the second wave of Black Metal at the same time. Dig deep inside these carnage-loaded pages and you’ll read vintage interviews with bands such as IMPETIGO, ATOMIC FEAR, PHANTASM, OSSUARY, CARRION LORD, NECROFEST, PHLEGM, INCARNIS, MORTA SKULD, EMBRIONIC DEATH, ROTTREVORE, HEADROT, SORROW (aka Apparition), HUMAN REMAINS, BATHYM, ORDER FROM CHAOS, ABSU, VITAL REMAINS, EDGE OF SANITY, DEMONCY, CATACOMB, GUT, PROFANATICA, DEMIGOD, SAMAEL, FUNERAL FEAST, FESTER, GOREFEST, CRUCIFIER, CENTINEX, CONVULSE, SINOATH, LACERATION, IMPALED NAZARENE, PYREXIA, NECROPHOBIC, NECRONY, and the very obscure 7” EP vinyl label ROTTEN RECORDS. In these 200 pages, you’ll read hundreds of reviews and articles on tons of other Death, Black, Grind, Doom bands, albums, demos, and EPs of the time, and see many rare and old ads and flyers that also helped define the underground deathmetal scene! by @razorbackrecords
HARVEST RITUAL is an absolute MUST HAVE for fans of horror metal masters NECROPHAGIA and the legendary Killjoy (R.I.P.) This sick and depraved 160 page book is IN STOCK from @razorbackrecords & @evilspeakproductions (link in bio) 💀 Through an ill-omened conspiracy with the Razorback Horror-Hive, the unspeakable horror of HARVEST RITUAL has arisen once again in an expanded NEW edition! HARVEST RITUAL is the repulsive and profane screenplay conjured forth by Doc Holocausto and Killjoy, that overlord of the Death Metal underworld, Killjoy, infamous for his black corpse shrieking in the likes of NECROPHAGIA, THE RAVENOUS, and HAXXAN. Written back in 2003-2004 for what was to have been Killjoy’s directorial Horror debut, but a handful ever had the opportunity to actually read it. A very limited publication in 2020 only roused the morbid curiosities of those who had missed out. And so HARVEST RITUAL is a shocking reality once more! This new expanded 2023 Evilspeak/Razorback Edition features: • A NEW Preface by Doc Holocausto. • The Unabridged and Uncut HARVEST RITUAL Screenplay featuring EXTREME content excised from the earlier printing. • A NEW Logo & Back Cover Painting by J Blake Stubbs of FATHER BEFOULED, INFESTMENT, FESTERED, etc. • Never-Before-Seen Storyboards by NECROPHAGIA Artist Lou “Lou-natic” Rusconi. • Two UNPUBLISHED Short Stories by Doc Holocausto, “Clean-Up on Aisle Four” & “Say Yule Love Satan”, which were both later used in HARVEST RITUAL. • An Exclusive Interview with Renee Pucci, Killjoy’s Daughter and Oldest Child, about her Father. • Old School NECROPHAGIA Fliers, some NEVER before seen. • Last but not least … THE METAL COMMANDMENTS Issue 1, the FIRST and ONLY Issue of Killjoy’s DIY Heavy Metal & Punk Zine from the mid-‘80s which has not seen print in almost FORTY YEARS … by @razorbackrecords
