Last night I sat down in nature to grieve a friend who died too early in their journey yesterday. 💙

May you rest in peace, and stay alive in melody. ☀️

I’m grateful for the compassion, understanding and vulnerability we shared; for the joy, beauty and delicious dinners; and for the music you brought into the world. You were a cherished ally in my own MS health journey, and I’ll be carrying your light forward along mine.

My heart is with your family, friends, loved ones, co-creators and co-workers as we grieve you. 🎶

I was held in the warmth of nature + human connection when a stranger became a friend, @theislandresonance. We spontaneously collaborated on an improvised passing-by run through of “Not Ready,” a song I co-wrote with @coaastgxd in passing of his cat Gary.

He had never heard the song before, yet somehow tuned into its energy so beautifully. It felt like one of those liminal, precious moments where music gives grief somewhere to go.

We are all passing by one another on our return home.

Raise your voice when you need help. You are not alone. 💙

Go so hey to Jeremy @doomcityrecords in Duncan (ask them about the Observatory and Constellation Room in Orange Country) and put on a show with Andrew @barelynorthentertainment (and ask them about Punk Strikes Back!)

Getting in sync with Saltspring for the first time to catch the immaculate @andromedas.ocean set tonight! Then leading some “Calm Creative Mindful Movement” tomorrow at 11:11am at Centennial Park if you know of anyone on this island of quartz aligned to join in joyfully? (I’ll be in Vancouver next week at Jericho beach on Saturday at 11:11am to reconnect with you Mainland friends I haven’t seen for awhile).

Numbers are already lining up in blinkchronicities for me to be wu-wu delusional that @pop_punk.party next weekend on Sunday is going to sell out to be transcendentally grounding with new @razorvoice songs on a stacked bill with @charmedtheband + @dysaynia + @crashpunx 🎶

Ran into @alexcampbellmusic while collecting fruits to juice getting lost in talk about drum fills and new songs like “Memory Gardens” we are about to sonically blossom after a year intermittent disconnection. Stoked to reunite and share all the dirty growth with y’all! taken in BC Ferries Fulford Harbor Terminal by @razorvoice

This Saturday in Victoria, at 11:11am outside of Crystal Pool in the grass under the maple and oak trees, you are invited to join along in “Calm Creative Mindful Movement” as a way to start a wonderful sunny weekend with relaxing music, fresh air, and like minded individuals through guided meditation breathing in colours to activate chakras connected to and adaptation “Hun Yuan” Qi Gong movements.

All welcome! Donations accepted, but not expected; as we all deserve to regulate our nervous systems; connecting to our internal calm regardless of any external chaos. 🌊

Come curious, leave clear and connected.

Keep on rockin,

A sonic reflection of how it feels to grieve.exe 6.9lbs of hair after a weekend amalgamating a punk rock hall show, hugging demons, a ceremonial indigenous sweat, a wonderful wedding, Qi Gong and fire spinning bubble blowing. Life is light ☀️ Thank you everyone for sharing this life.
