Walking back from my neighborhood grocery store tonight, I saw Gracie the dog up on her balcony. Gracie and I have become pals. Whenever I pass through the alley behind where she lives, I always make it a point to toss her up a healthy doggie treat. A few weeks ago I saw her walking in a nearby park with her owners and she came right over to me. Her owners were amazed at our connection. #columbus #dogs by @rbcolby

Gov. Mike DeWine designated September as Childhood Cancer Awareness Month in Ohio and rolled out a new program to help parents of kids with cancer to better navigate the state’s cancer care system. My son, Ashton, and I attended; my daughter, Lauren, passed from cancer at age 8 in 2007. Thank you, Gov. DeWine, state Sen. Tim Schaffer, state Rep. Andrea White, Ellie Hite from AngelWorks and Barbara Cherry Mills, for help establishing a $5 million research fund for childhood cancer. And a special thanks and condolences to Cassie and Jay Zurlinde, who lost their son Jayden to cancer and who were the reason why Gov. DeWine established the navigator program. #childhoodcancerawareness by @rbcolby

Biked to the abandoned water treatment facility down by Crew Stadium. I’ve always been fascinated by this old building and thought it could make a great home overlooking the river. Many years ago it took in water from the river to supply water for the city of Columbus. It’s been abandoned for years and I read that it will be redeveloped into a restaurant. #columbus by @rbcolby
