I am back from my trip to be where I belong. Roasting a guy from Canada. I wanted to say Canadian incel but against all odds this guy does have a girlfriend. Look at that. He pulled it off. Some dudes ruin their entire lives raging because of their deep seated loneliness and blame everyone around them except themselves. Thank you Sebastian for teaching these men the need for personal responsibility. Now his girlfriend is on the show against the enchanting Charity Gregory. Charity has more rbl points than me on the season but despite this and my earlier soliloquy is not the main event because at the end of the day I am not done listening and learning. Tom Sarabok and Kevin Mulharin have done all of the listening and learning and take a break from being the funnest bachelors in Bushwick to bring filth and debauchery to the unwoke yet somehow diverse live show in Astoria. Adam Gabel and Brian Rabadeau are a snapshot from a foreign time. Adam has a raspy tired voice and Brian has a raspy tired voice for a gay guy, meaning that he sounds straight. I’m still not used to him having a boyfriend for the past five years. Amada and Matt take a break from the Grisly Pear for what essentially counts as a road gig. Abbey makes her long awaiting return against Chadd who will hopefully not be completely misogynistic this time. And John Brown as always is here for a good time. Michael could give him a ride back to Cleveland on the way to one of his gigs in a town no one has ever heard of. It’s Wednesday, it’s the official New York Chapter of Roast Bqttle League. Come hang

I am once again on the road (California this time) so the inmates are running the asylum without their inmate leader. Brent Lowrey takes on Devin Bramble in our main event. If I were to ask you which one used to live in Portland you would guess Brent but if the answer was Devin you would not be entirely shocked. We have Dave Sheehan attempt to reach into the well for more Asian female jokes as he battles Soo Ra. But this time his Asian female opponent dyes her hair as if to taunt him further. Our next battler doesn’t see race because he literally doesn’t see anything as we continue one of my favorite gags of putting Brandon Lott against battlers with distinct appearances. Brett Sisun battles Brian Bueche as we find out who’s more into musicals. Code E takes on Noah Stochel in a battle of two guys who listen to rappers that have never played a live show. Just kidding CT rappers ain’t nothing to with. And finally we find out if Will Purpura is as sensitive as Chris Gramuglia claims he is. It’s Wednesday night, it’s the officially sanctioned NY chapter of RBL. Come hang.

Had a great show at the cellar last night. Very good turnout, very good battles. New York reigns supreme. And for that reason we have our main event. Michael was saying some deeply ignorant things about our beloved NYK so I got Knicks superfan Talent Harris to make him think twice about running his mouth. Charity goes up against Justin Brown who looks like he could definitely use some Charity. Kyle Gee makes his battling debut against Brian Rabadeau in a classic battle of fat bisexual guy vs fat gay guy. Jeff Medoff and Chris Bias take a break from Snapchat to talk to each other in person. Chadd Lennon is not related to John Lennon. Also, Corrine Tryon is not related to Ozzy Osborne. And finally, Jared Bailey fills in on short notice. Sorry Laramie’s basement, the man is busy tonight. And Wednesday once again but with a special treat: I will be stepping into the ring. Everyone is always surprised about how normal my dad is so this week I’m up against someone who seems more like he should be my dad (or Charity’s dad really). Absolutely stacked card the rest of the way with Connor O’Brien getting a long awaited matchup with Geo Yankey and Jamie Wang facing off with Luke. I’ve written blurbs for these two battles before that I’ve forgotten but maybe the four of them could solve the mystery of what Mike Gamms does for a living. Maybe he gets paid to protest the money Big T gets paid from the government. Side note: Gamms didn’t understand why I thought him vs T was such a funny pairing. Insane. Dave Sheehan finally gets a chance to confront Michael Agunbiade for playing music too loudly above his apartment and Cori Dech and Jay Simpson have a bad parent-off.
