Had an awesome day today @splintercreekdr for the @movmxrocks series! I raced this track dozens of times as a kid so it was fun to come back to the nostalgia. Tuck loved the “big jumps” and high speed of this track and it showed in his riding. He rode great! 3 amazing starts and rode aggressive and smart! 3rd in Youth Beginner Open against kids up to 12 years old on on much bigger bikes. And 3rd in 50 Senior against some great racers! His skill is really improving!!!! Thanks to the track and series for a great day and Thank God we are home safe!!! by @rbrown58

Missing this guy. Our family misses him. The kids miss him! We still hurt. I wish we could see how his life looks now. But we have faith that someday we will see him in heaven. Until then we will honor Brendan 🙏🙏🙏

A year ago he would have been crying, building toughness and resilience to adversity. Praising God for keeping him safe. Jumped right up and back on the bike before anyone could get to him. Scariest but proudest moment of our day for me! by @rbrown58

Our weekend of moto wrapped up with Washington Town and Country Fair! One of the largest and best Fair Races in the Country! This was Tuck’s first “Big” moto race and it was definitely a learning experience and humbling for him. I knew this would be tough coming in but I had to get him into a race like this bc he says he wants to do “KTM Jr Supercross”.
He started practice with a huge crash on lap 1. On track walk I told him these jumps are huge and he must roll them, well he didnt and had a big crash. But so proud of his toughness as he got right up and didnt even let the bike stall. Box ✅’d
In 50 Open heat race he looped it out, Box ✅’d 😂😂😂 but worked his way all the way back to 5th which was important so he didn’t have to start on row 2. Caught some kids who are great riders, was very proud of him!

50(7-8) heat another bad start and worked up to 7th which was good again getting him on row 1.

Onto the Mains….one thing is Tuck will not let me coach him at all and would not take my advice on what gate to pick. I knew he does not have the start technique to get a good jump but he demanded we take the inside gate. Of course he got pinched off both Mains of both classes. Starting near the back he made a few passed.

He was very upset and frustrated at the end of the night. He wanted more. But he was humbled and we had a good talk about letting me coach him. We made a deal that each time we go ride we will work on 1 skill first, then we can ride and have fun!

Fun is the most important, we wont do this if he is not having fun. But if he wants more then he has to be coachable to take mine and others advice who have good advice to give.

Most importantly we did a ton of racing this weekend, learned soooo much and we are healthy! The crash scared me, so thankful to God he is ok and for keeping him and everyone safe out there!

Kudos to the crew putting on this race! It was ran excellent and the flagging was top notch! by @rbrown58

My dude got it done today in his first woods race! Went into the woods 4th and about halfway he was over following the leaders and went to the lead! Set sail from there! Rode extremely smart and patient! Great technique too, something I have been preaching to him! I also want him to learn to race in the woods as well as moto as I think there are so many benefits to both! He had a great day and missed his Mom who had to be elsewhere. by @rbrown58

Nine years! So thankful you said yes to a date and that it took less than a year to know we would be forever! It has all gone fast but the amazing memories are abundant. I smile a million times per day at the life we have created and God has blessed us with!

Blessed and thankful! Thank you to everyone who wished me Happy Birthday yesterday. Im grateful for my family, friends, neighbors, co-workers….you all made me feel great!

Tuck got me a very special coffee mug, no doubt I will enjoy a lot of coffee from this!
