We are heading into the final stretch of the season. Last race we saw a very special set of guests, invited by the Mercedes team.

Linkin park has been making headlines as they reunited last year, with new singer @emilyarmstrong. And not shortly after, they released their newest album, from zero.

Last week they were there to watch the action, and @m_shinoda had the pleasure of flying the chequered flag. But it’s not all that surprising. As they have been known F1 fans, appearing on the lotus car shortly back in 2012.

So it seemed only fitting to create a special livery for them for vegas. Combining the standard mercedes design with a from zero team, using the cover art as part of the design. It’s sure to be a noticable livery.

40 years ago, F1 made it's race debut behind the iron curtain. As the traveling circus would make its debut at the very first Hungarian GP in budapest, at the Hungaroring. This week, the grid will do so again. Though we're seeing a lot of different names than back then.

In the 1986 season, just Ferrari, McLaren, and Williams took part of what is now the modern grid. The rest are all names that have dissapeared or rebranded over the years. Ayrton Senna took the first ever pole with the no longer existing Lotus team. So what if the iconic JPS colors returned to the modern grid?

A few months ago, I showed a concept for if Lotus would return in 2026. This is that same concept, but given the iconic black and gold color scheme. This meant making it black and adding those iconic gold lines. Along with that, making almost every sponsor gold to match with the color scheme.

A simple, yet effective color scheme.

As the Belgian GP will start later today. I got another special livery for it.

Ferrari and yellow has been making a comeback in recent years. With is being featured multiple times on the F1 cars in previous years. Back in the day, the Belgian importer of Ferrari would enter Ferrari cars in the national color of yellow during the Belgian GP. Due to this, the yellow ferrari's became a bit of an icon in the early years of formula 1. Despite the last yellow ferrari being entered in 1961, it would remain a part of the car in the following decades. Most famously being used in the 80's and 90's as highlights to tell the 2 cars apart from each other. In 2022 it would make it's return during the italian GP, when celebrating 75 years of Ferrari. After that, it would return in 2023 for their le mans win, and in 2024 it remained as stripes on the car for the entire season.

For this livery, I wanted to highlight that history ferrari has with yellow, by bringing elements of each livery together, whilest still using the base livery.

35 years ago, Jordan needed a replacement driver for the Belgian GP. Mercedes loanded out one of their factory drivers for the race. What proceeded was an amazing 7th place in qualifying, the team's best qualifying performance of the season. Despite the driver having never driven at Spa before the weekend. Unfortunately he stopped shortly into the first lap with a mechanical issue. But the grid saw enough. Schumacher would go on to be one of the best of all time.

Aston Martin comes from the ashes of Jordan, after the team had taken over from Racingpoint, who was first Force India, who had taken over from the short roullette of teams buying the team.
The green used is closer to the original jordan, along with lime highlights. All colors come from either Aramco or Aston Martin branding (besides the main green).

Will Aston Martin perform well this weekend?

This weekend, the World Endurance Championship heads to Brazil! Interlagos! One of the most famous and beautiful part of the circuit nowadays, is a large mural on the wall of the pitbuilding, with Ayrton Senna on it.

Ayrton Senna was a known Porsche fan, but didn't race any of their cars ofcourse, having gone to Toleman, Lotus, Mclaren and Willams. Atleast most think that.

But back in 1984, Senna drove the iconic 956 at the Nurburgring 1000KM for the Joest team. The iconic livery featured on that car was featured earlier this year on one of the cars taking part in the 24 hours of Fuji. However, for this one, I wanted to give it the special brazil touch.

Making use of the prominent yellow as seen on Senna's helmet, combined with the green and blue of the brazillian flag. All translated in the shape of the 956 livery on a modern car.

We've seen many teams come and go in the 75 years of F1. Though few are as iconic as Tyrrell.

Tyrrell started out in 1968 in partnership with Matra. However, after they pulled out of F1, Tyrrell became a team of it's own. They were well known for it's innovation, debuing the first ever 6 wheeled F1 car in 1976, and being able to win a race. Later they would find an engine loophole in 1984, which lead to a controversial disqualification. Before debuing the first ever F1 car with a raised nose in the early 90's. Tyrrell would hold on till the 1998 season, after struggling for almost 20 years. The team was sold to BAT, which nowadays became the iconic Mercedes we know now.

In this concept, Jackie Stewart works together with Yamaha to return Tyrrell to the grid. With financial backing from BAT. The livery was inspired by their golden era, all the way back in the 70's. Along with insperation taken from the early 1990's. When most notably Alesi made his debue with the team.

This weekend it's time for the iconic TT of Assen!

Collin Veijer has the best chance of winning the race as a dutch man, having had a fairly succesful season thus far. If he would win a race this year, he would only become the second Dutch driver to do so in the equivelant of the 250cc category.

The last one being @wilcozeelenbergofficial back in the 1990 German GP. Having driven a truly retro looking white honda. Considering both drivers are also friends with @ziggosportracing , I made a retro Dutch livery combining the 2 drivers.

It was really interesting to see how much the livery decides if a bike looks retro. Much more than on the car liveries. That did make it a really fun livery to make.

Best of luck to Veijer in his home GP, and enjoy the races this weekend!

New canvas: Ford LMDH concept car

First LMDH chassis, ready to get painted on, this is a concept for next years Ford entry into the LMDH class, with the chassis being made by Oreca.

Great model by the talented @rc_3design and for me an excuse to edit the materials to my liking!

In just an hour time, one of the greatest races of the year will start! The 24 hours of Le mans is in a golden period, with 8 manufacturers taking part in the hypercar category this year. With 2 more coming next year, in the form of McLaren , and icons Ford!

Frod is most known for winning the 1966 edition, with 3 cars on te podium, finally beating their rivals ferrari. The image of them 3 going across the line is one of the most iconic photo's in the entirety of motorsports.

The number 66 car was the winner, with the iconic McLaren duo of Bruce McLaren and Chris Amon. The number referencing the year of the win.

Number 98 was Ken Miles and Denny Hulme for the shelby team. Famously appearing in the 2019 movie Ford vs Ferrari. Many argue they were robbed of that years win. Number 98 is used as a tribute to Shelby.

Number 40 references the GT40. And was the final car on the podium, featuring an all american lineup.

Qualifying in Monaco never dissapoints! With an amazing pole for Kimi Antonelli after just about beating Verstappen. Though unfortunately, Audi would have loved to see their good practice results be translated to a good grid postions. But they will have to do with a P13 and P16.

But this weekend, they've shown up with a slightly diffrent, yellow livery. As a tribute to a pre-war race winner for audi (then auto union), that being Nuvolari.
However, when seeing yellow on an audi, I think of a very iconic car that's been driven to a few other streets in monte carlo. That being the Audi quattro S1 E2. So I've translated it's livery onto the R26. Mainly making use of the iconic yellow stripes combined with the Audi Sport colors. White wheel covers also reference the white wheels on the original car.
