Active Remembrance. It can mean something different to everyone.

To us, it means digging deeper into our shared Canadian history. It means attending a Remembrance Day ceremony this year in your community. Learning a veteran's name. Discovering the story of someone who is no longer here to tell it themselves. Taking the time to understand the sacrifices made to protect the "someday" or generations of Canadians.

It means choosing to keep these stories, our history, alive.

This Remembrance Week, we’re embracing Active Remembrance through a series of initiatives and events designed to help Canadians connect with the stories of those who served.

Today, we’re bringing you Heroes on the Air, our theatre production sharing the inspirational and true stories of the RCAF through immersive storytelling, live music, and sound effects created before your very eyes.

📍 Thursday, October 29 — Algonquin Theatre, Huntsville
📍 Tuesday, November 10 — Hugh’s Room Live, Toronto

🎟️ Tickets and more information at the link in our bio!

Whether you join us, attend a Remembrance activity in your community, or explore these stories on your own, we encourage you to find new ways to actively Remember this November.

Because Remembrance is more than a moment. It is a commitment to remember.

Connection 🔗 Celebration 🥂 Inspiration ✨
We’ve loved seeing the enthusiasm and excitement surrounding this year’s Elsie MacGill Awards Gala, hosted by our friends at the Northern Lights Aero Foundation.
Our heartfelt congratulations to all of this year’s award recipients, and to all those who have helped them along the way. We also extend our congratulations to the Northern Lights Aero Foundation for once again bringing together such an inspiring evening celebrating the achievements of women in aviation and aerospace.
We were especially proud to have several of our outstanding students in attendance, alongside RCAF Foundation Board members Laura Briscoe and Kristin Long. A special thank you to Air Canada for hosting our students at your table, and to Chantal Dugas for making them feel so warmly welcomed. We couldn't think of a better way to welcome them to this industry that we all love! ✈️🚀🌌 by @rcaf_foundation

October is Women’s History Month! Throughout the month, we’ll be highlighting women from the past and present, celebrating our female scholars, attending events that recognize women’s achievements, and amplifying the voices of women across these fields.

Today, we’re featuring Marion Alice Orr.

Growing up during the Great Depression, Marion worked full-time in a Toronto factory to help support herself while holding onto her dream of flying. At a time when becoming a pilot was far from an ordinary path for women, Marion, a trailblazer, went on to fly the Spitfire during the Second World War.

Her story is featured in our upcoming production of Heroes on the Air, a live theatrical experience blending radio drama, music, storytelling and Foley sound to bring the stories of RCAF heroes to life.

📍 Huntsville — October 29 at Algonquin College (Hosted by the Huntsville Festival of Art)
📍 Toronto — November 9&10 at Hugh’s Room Live

Four generations of service to Canada. Four generations of excellence in flight. Four generations of the Lawson family.
Today, we honour General Thomas Lawson, CMM, CD (Ret.), and reflect on his life, his commitment to service, and the remarkable legacy of a family whose dedication to Canada spans four generations.
From one generation to the next, the Lawson family’s story is a reminder of the enduring tradition of service and of the people who continue to shape Canada’s aviation and aerospace history. We are proud to tell their story. 🇨🇦✈️ by @rcaf_foundation
