Courtesy of your donations and generosity, we cooked 300 meals for people in Newport (and surrounding areas) today. We understand the gift surrounding a meal and we’re honored to provide something that simple to people dealing with so much hurt right now. 💛
Thanks to @rcarringer for doing all the prep work/cooking (with our mom’s @hoof.harness vat worth of green beans). 🙌🏻 @karleemayers coordinated all the details to serve our friends in Newport with the helping hands of @natashaorsi, @_kendallmayers_, and Momma Hyke. @michaelahernon let us use his truck to haul all the donations and extra supplies and we’re so grateful.
Our bar family showed up in every way to care for our neighbors and it’s fulfilling the whole heart of this business: we’re just here to care for our neighbors. 🥹❤️ by @rcarringer

This kid has parlayed her knowledge of dinosaurs into a way to hate on her old man. “It has as biggest head as daddy’s.”

A few weeks back I found this gal in the floor of the barn. She couldn’t walk. Every time I’ve had a chicken go down no amount of time/treatment has led to recovery. Talking weeks in a crate in the garage, special diet, meds, pampering, etc.

I was gonna go grab the revolver and put her down. It seemed like the most compassionate thing to do and would avoid weeks of lingering. But something told me to give her a chance. So I put her in the barn in a stall with some fresh water and food. The next morning she looked a little better. Later that afternoon she ran out of the barn when I went to check on her.

Pic 2: There she was a day later out in the field with the goats and other chickens, living her best life.

Sometimes all we need is someone to give us a chance.
