There comes a moment in every build when you stop seeing a collection of parts on a workbench and start seeing an instrument.That moment is always special. There’s still electronics, pickups, wiring, and the final setup to go, but the bass is already beginning to reveal its personality.That’s what I enjoy most about building from scratch.——Hay un instante en cada construcción en el que dejas de ver un montón de piezas sobre una mesa y empiezas a ver un instrumento.Ese momento siempre tiene algo especial. Another big milestone for this project! 🎸The body has now received its final color, and the neck is fully prepared for the next stage. Los pequeños detalles son los que terminan dando personalidad a un instrumento.Ayer fue el turno de trabajar en la chapa de la pala. Una pieza pequeña, pero que aporta carácter y hace que este bajo sea cada vez más único. Son horas de paciencia, ajustes y trabajo artesanal que, aunque muchas veces pasan desapercibidos, marcan la diferencia en el resultado final.Cada paso me acerca un poco más al bajo que imaginé desde el principio. Y, sinceramente, estoy disfrutando tanto del proceso como del destino. 🎸——It’s the little details that give an instrument its personality.Yesterday was all about working on the headstock veneer. It’s a small detail, but one that adds character and makes this bass feel even more unique. Hours of patience, careful fitting, and craftsmanship that may go unnoticed by most people, yet make all the difference in the final result.Every step brings me closer to the bass I imagined from the very beginning. Neck progress on my next bass guitar 🎸Step by step, this project is starting to come to life. Last Friday was all about installing the side dot inlays and watching the neck move one step closer to becoming a real instrument.Every small detail matters: measuring, marking, drilling, fitting, and checking everything twice. It’s a slow process, but incredibly rewarding when you start seeing all the pieces come together.——Progreso del mástil de mi próximo bajo 🎸Poco a poco este proyecto va tomando forma. El viernes pasado tocó avanzar con la instalación de los inlays laterales y ver cómo el mástil empieza a convertirse en un instrumento real.Cada pequeño detalle cuenta: medir, marcar, perforar, colocar y volver a comprobar. Es un proceso lento, pero increíblemente satisfactorio cuando empiezas a ver cómo todas las piezas encajan.Construir un bajo desde cero me está enseñando mucho más que luthería; también paciencia, precisión y respeto por el trabajo artesanal detrás de cada instrumento.Aún queda camino por recorrer, pero cada paso me acerca un poco más a escuchar sus primeras notas.Building a bass from scratch is teaching me much more than woodworking and lutherie; it’s teaching patience, precision, and appreciation for the craftsmanship behind every instrument.There’s still a long way to go, but each step brings me closer to hearing its first notes...........#NovaBasses #BassBuilding #LuthierLife #BassGuitar #handmadeinstrument by @rcasanovan

Others remind you why you picked up an instrument in the first place.“Coming Up” is one of those songs for me.@paulmccartney has always had a unique ability to make bass lines feel musical, melodic, and alive. Every time I play one of his songs, I’m reminded that the bass can do much more than keep time—it can tell a story.As a bass player and a huge Beatles and McCartney fan, it’s impossible not to feel inspired by the creativity, energy, and joy that he brings to every note.This is my humble tribute to one of the greatest musicians and bass players of all time.Thank you for the music, Sir Paul. ❤️——Hay canciones que son divertidas de tocar.
