Our Western Wentzville Bungalow 🤎🏡

This one was such a fun transformation. We took a pretty plain, dated space and turned it into a cozy little Western-inspired Airbnb in Wentzville, Missouri.

I love seeing how much you can change a space with the right paint, flooring, furniture, and a little bit of personality.

This was one of the projects that made me realize just how much I love taking a space and making it feel like something completely different. 🤎

Would you have guessed this was the same room? 👀

One of our biggest projects in Montana 🤎🏡

Building from the ground up is a whole different adventure than renovating a house, and seeing it all come together is so rewarding.

Hi, I’m Mallory! 🤎 Welcome to RCBM Homes!

My husband and I buy, design, and launch short-term rentals, and somewhere along the way I became slightly obsessed with interiors, finding beautiful things without spending a fortune, and figuring out how to make a space both pretty AND practical.

All while raising our two kids (4 & 2), because apparently we thought adding Airbnb projects to the mix was a good idea.

This picture is from our very first Airbnb in the Bitterroot Valley in Montana a project that started this whole little adventure for us. 🏡

I’ll be sharing our Airbnb projects, home finds, design ideas, the things that actually work for us, and probably a little bit of real life along the way.

I’m so glad you’re here. 🤎 by @rcbmhomes

We built our Montana Airbnb from start to finish, and looking back, I still don’t know how we did it all…

My husband and I designed and built this place ourselves while BOTH working full-time jobs, raising our 1.5-year-old daughter, and with me pregnant with our second.

We lived in Montana with no family nearby, so our little girl was right there with us through the entire adventure.

Was it exhausting? Absolutely.
Was it worth it? Without a doubt. 🥹

We’ve learned SO much from this property, and there are definitely things we’d do differently next time!

Designing an Airbnb is a little different than decorating your own home.

Everything has to look good and survive real people, kids, luggage, spills, and everything else that comes with a short-term rental.

Pretty + practical always wins around here. 🤎 by @rcbmhomes

These are 3 things I always prioritize when designing an Airbnb 🤎

Cozy bedding, good lighting, and lots of texture can completely change how a room feels — without having to spend a fortune.

One of my favorite bedrooms from our Frontier House🤎

I wanted this room to feel cozy, warm, and a little bit western without going completely over the top.

One of my favorite parts of designing our Airbnbs is finding pieces that look expensive without actually spending a fortune.

I linked some of the pieces we used in this room in my bio if you want to shop the look! 🏡🤎 by @rcbmhomes

One of my favorite parts of doing this is seeing what a space can become. 🤎

This was one of our Airbnb transformations, and it’s still crazy to look at the before and after.

We’re definitely not professional designers over here 😂 — we’re just figuring it out as we go, trying to make spaces feel beautiful, comfortable, and actually functional without spending a fortune.

More of these to come because we have A LOT of projects to share. 🏡 by @rcbmhomes
