Home. With Mango and the SuperNova and the beautiful colours of fall.

I’m sorting through the photos of our adventures in magnificent Corsica and the UK and may post some in the coming weeks. Thanks to all of you who followed along on stories (always fun posting stories).

Happy #caturday - Southern Corsica edition. This cat was super friendly and lives with the owner of this villa (they are staying on the same property). What a beauty suitable for the Isle of Beauty. This is the first cat we have seen in Corsica … lots of dogs, but otherwise no cats.

Have a wonderful day and weekend.

The 2026 Virgo Party. Such a time - and on a school night (apologies for those who worked the next day). There are hints of things to come in this series (the Virgo in the motorcycle costume). And Happy Birthday to all the beautiful Virgos in my life (not just those invited here!) …

Sunflower and goldenrod love for you all on this beautiful Saturday of the Labour Day weekend … all photos taken yesterday in the depth of deserted Ontario countryside (although photo 5 is from a Toronto garden in the early morning).

Have a great Long Weekend, Canadians and Americans! We are off sailing on Lake ONTARIO today (such a insane and stupid non-event - the purported name change!).

On September 1 - the flowers of August (and one beautiful butternut squash) - all of which are blooming still in #mygarden. August was a month to relax with the garden, with a focus on keeping everything watered and fertilized. Now starts the work of weeding and pre-fall pruning of overgrown plants.

The beautiful SuperNova on the last #caturday of August.

Have a wonderful weekend - and first week of September (already).

A mid-August week. Peace, beauty, friendship, and mother-daughter time.

Time disappears.

Mango musings on the first August #caturday: I love summer and don’t really follow time. So what if it’s August already? So long as I can be outside and watch birds, squirrels and bugs, I am fine.

Me too, Mango.

Have a wonderful beginning to August - and for some a beautiful long weekend!

Out on this beautiful boat - the Menina sails beautifully and the Captain has great crew, including galley crew. Love those matching shirts, which came with the boat (but need updating). A wonderful day, with wonderful people. Special thanks to the crew members (the guys) who have assisted @rstevenson51 so well over the past many weeks, including taking the boat out for wonderful trial runs.

The marvellous flowers and colours of July. Happy Sunday!

Long lost hollyhocks emerging this year, baby fancy Japanese maple planted 3 years ago doing well and getting slightly bigger, Rose of Sharon, morning glories, beautiful snakeroot, Annabelle hydrangeas and their beautiful coneflower and lily companions, baby butternut squash (fingers crossed), coneflowers coming into flower, day lilies in the front garden, clematis, and longer garden shots, with the beautiful daisies. Some of these photos were taken earlier this week, while the wild fire smoke was all around, so the light looks a bit strange.

Mango during a #caturday thunderstorm.

What a week - from record breaking heat, to wild fire smoke (so tragic for so many people) - today’s rain is very welcome.

Hi, what shall we do today? Let’s just stay outside and watch the birds and squirrels, and maybe even some rain (if we are lucky).

Mango and Nova on #caturday - Have a wonderful day. Fingers crossed for the Big Game today … (only slightly jumping on the World Cup bandwagon). And Happy 4th of July for all our American friends.
