The quest to get this Volvo made into a HotWheels car continues!
Runner-up at HotWheels Legends Tour in Detroit 2021! Won the Ryu Asada Award!

POSTS STORIES REELS

2021 Hot Wheels Legends Tour, Detroit Mi.
Can't believe 5 years has passed already!

Special memories for sure!
- it was truly an honor to receive
the Ryu Asada Award and be a part
of honoring his legacy.

While the previous 6 months were hard,
- with the passing of my son and then my
best friend of 50 years a few weeks later

Add then, the passing of Ryu Asada,
who, 5 years ago today 3/23, stung as well,
- Another bright flame extinguished too soon.

But this Legends Tour was a bright spot
of the year with the @HotWheelsdreamteam
pressed on,
- the Detroit show, one of 1st after COVID..
showed that the World, Hot Rodding and
Hot Wheels would endure!

Thanks for the memories!
- the Legacy lives on!

Godspeed Ryu 🙏

Want to be the King at Home Depot?
- Hate to say it, but Bubba needs a new home.

1965 IH 1600, located Akron Oh area
3K or obo. DM if interested

- was a factory spec 20' grain truck and
last owner shortened it to 8' going for
a rat rod vibe with some custom bed
work and dual exhaust stacks.
- now sporting a low miles (30k-ish)
IH 392 / 4bbl from a firetruck and
original 4 speed trans
- front axle from later model (mid '90's)
IH with disk brakes (hydraulic)
- late model Dodge bench seat
- body solid, floors already repaired

Was going to do the chassis swap thing
but life gets in the way 🤷

Clean Ohio title, Starts, runs, drives,...
- but needs some attention, and will
probly need a tow or
trailer (will drive itself on!)

Needs:
- Got a brake line leak to rears,
- a front hub wheel bearing needs attention
- the rat rod mod drive line center carrier
mount is a little sketchy if you want to
drive as is
- 2spd rear not shifting, think because speedo
was changed out 🤷, manually set in high range

FYI if wondering, scales at 9000 lbs by @rcvolvo544
