Da Nang is a great place to relax at the beach and feel a bustling city, which is more energetic than Hanoi in my eyes. On the other hand I used my time well exploring the natural beauty and temples of the Marmor Mountains and the Son Tra Trail every time in sight of the sea.

Sa Pa surprised me with a stark variety of different activities. From going up to the top of Indochina, hiking in its surrounding countryside and just strolling to the city.

A day in Vienna isn’t enough to grasp this city. A stark contrast to the mostly grey and post soviet calmness, but also the new towering skyscrapers of Bratislava. During the trip I enjoyed a variety of visual art and food. Some impressions.

Bratislava is a hidden gem among European capitals. It may be a little rough around the edges, but with a little patience, you can discover many hidden highlights. It is somewhat reminiscent of East Germany 20 years ago.

My last days in Bali I was in the south of the island. Especially Uluwatu surprised me with its beauty and diversity. Whether it was exploring the temples, visiting the GWK park or relaxing by the pool with a coconut, my trip came to an nice end here.

Lombok was pure adventure for me! I explored the island on various hikes on both well-trodden and untouched paths. I was lucky enough to get to know the culture and character of the island through the locals, which is very different from neighboring Bali!

One of the most beautiful hikes during my stay in Ubud was the ascent to Mt Nature at sunrise. During the ascent, it was very impressive how the lights of the other hikers with their lamps indicated the path that was already behind us. Once I reached the top, I was able to experience such a spectacular sight.

After the rather stressful and lively Canggu, my stay in Ubud was more about the local culture through a Hindu purification ceremony and Nyepi, experiencing great hikes around Ubud and getting to know some of the locals. They brought me closer to their culture and gave me a much better understanding of the island for the first time.
