My journey with fantasy/sci-fiction started a year ago, when I picked up Requiem at a thrift store. It came with no jacket, no description, and so much intrigue that I had to buy it. After some investigation, I found out it was the last in a series, and there was no way that I wasn’t going to accept the challenge of reading it. It had me in my toes the entire time! The thing we spend most often fighting for in life, is indeed, love. Be it romantic love, familial love, love of friends etc, we fight for what we truly care about. The question that Lauren Oliver puts out there, made me really consider everything around me as I dove deep into the world of the characters. What if love was viewed as disease? What if the essence of love itself was illegal, and to really allow yourself all of the messy things surrounding love, felt entirely fatal? I was so happy I got to pick up this series and fully explore the world that she creates. The heart wrenching decisions and the single, most overwhelming thing that breaks us or saves us all.

2020 was for fantasy series ⭐️⭐️ (And now, I’m just getting started.) Never in my wildest dreams did I think that this year would bring me a favorite genre of books, but I’m here for it! ✨✨✨✨ This series has had me crying, gasping, laughing, blushing, and everything in between! Who else is stoked for book three and it’s official release date?!?!

Hi hello! It’s been a little while since I’ve been on here. Inspiration in a crazy life can be a little difficult at times, but we’re back at it with one of the things that always makes me happier than happy: A good book series. There is nothing quite like the Caraval series. •Ready to escape the wrath of their controlling father, Scarlet and Donatella head out for an experience of a lifetime. An incredible experience arrives near to them, challenging them to take a leap of faith and leave behind all that the know. It’s more than just a game or a performance. It’s the closest thing to magic they will ever come to in this world. Only meaning to go for a few days and return back home to their mundane lives, Scarlett heads out to follow her sister, only to find she’s been get caught in the glamour and must find win the game to find her.• The entire time that I was reading it, I was deeply engrossed in each page. There is so much detail here and it follows a story that I was quickly able to get lost in. Getting lost continuously in books has always given me a little insight into the magic of a true author’s brain. This was an exceptional voyage! If you love fantasies and adventure, this series is definitely one to look out for! •

Still one of my all time favorite books. I have always enjoyed the way John writes about human suffering, in a way that is very relatable and almost easy to grasp. It’s often hard to understand how to escape the whirlwind that lives in our minds. How to escape the questions? How to find any real answers? The one thing that has always had me hooked until the end, was the idea of forgiving as a method of ending the suffering. Forgiving yourself for just being. I think it will always be on my top list of books.

Classics always show us how books can always take us to a new place, and give us feelings we may not always understand! We may not always agree or the book itself may not always be our thing, but we are reminded that we can be transported to any time and place, through the mind of others. ••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••

T w i s t e d.

If ever there was a book that dramatically impacted me in my life, it’s this one. Since the moment I read it, I fell for Laurie’s twists and turns, and it absolutely set me ablaze for reading. If you like dramatic plot that thickens, this book is definitely for you.

The plot goes back and forth via the mind of a guy, who struggles with the notion of what it means to be a man today. It had me on a trip for the entire read! I simply could not put it down! Give it a read, I promise it will not disappoint! *warning- this book is definitely not for kids and takes kind of a mature mindset to process* ••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••

Some books take you to places you’d never thought you’d go. That’s the power of reading 📖
This books has been in my collection, since the day we read it in class back in the 10th grade. A lot of kids hated the literature in the curriculum, but I was actually a sucker for all these classics, especially allegories!

When I was younger, my smaller cousin, my sister and I began to bond over books. It started with a few, chapter books here and there and discussing them. Eventually, it evolved to series and other books we would pick up at the library. I remember nights where we would have sleepovers and just talk about plots, like it was the greatest thing that could ever be. Years have passed, and though we don’t often do that anymore, it still comes up like a happy memory. This book was one of those reads that we often discussed. 💕 I was gifted it as a present, and it has to this day, been my most favorite thing I have ever received.
