🫧 : hi, my sweet loves, guess who’s back? yup, this grumpy ass potato! I have missed y’all so much and I’m taking baby steps to come back and be more ‘active’, if I ever was.

✨ : July was a good month for me! Besides the fact that I read SO SO SO many arcs, I discovered many good and talented authors that deserve to be more recognized! Also, I haven’t read this many books in a month for a while now, and it was refreshing.

🍄 : I bought some books for my birthday, and I think I’ll make another post for a complete haul a bit later, tho there’s a sneak peek, haha

🧸 : i kind of been mia due to mental health issues and i've tried to give myself a break. it's been working? we'll see.

🐈‍⬛ : anyhow, i've been wanting to post my july hopefuls. i have tons of arcs to read and i'm happy because last year i couldn't read as many arcs as i wanted to bc of my old job... now i'm drowning, lol.

🫧໌ : now i even have some buddy reads with two of my favorite people in here, and i'm SO SO SO excited to do another buddy read with them. ily, my babies 💗

Lately I've been giving romance (rom-coms and now sports romance) a chance thanks to a beautiful friend named Yimmie, and it's one of the best decisions I've ever made.

This was funny, emotional and it caught me from the very beginning. I must admit that I'm usually cautious with romances (this is a me problem, don't worry), but this book was amazing.

Hadley is strong, sassy and she knows what she wants, and she's not afraid to go and take it. Her grandmother passes away and leaves her a bookstore in her will, but Hadley must live in Chicago for a year and get married. Enter Easton Bailey, a playboy who recently found out that he's a father when someone delivers his baby, Tanner, to him with only a note attached to the baby.

Marriage of convenience it's becoming an amazing trope for me because I love that forced proximity, the banter and the slow realization that they're falling in love. The baby is a plus because I'm now getting obsessed with the "single parent" trope.

Easton grows attached to Tanner and their relationship is wonderful.

Hadley needs a husband and Easton needs a nanny. The perfect receipt.

The last chapters got me clutching my pearls because I really wanted to know who was Tanner's mom, and when I made it to that part I was in shock. I was at work while reading it, lmaoooo, and I didn't have who to tell this news because I was all alone (which is fine by me because no one is distracting me, haha), so I was gasping and tearing up on my own.

I liked the dynamics, the friendships, the relationships and the banters.

Easton, sir, I'd let you be my baby daddy too, lmao.

I will definitely pick up more books of this duo!

🧸 : i've finally managed to do my june wrap up. i sort of disappeared (apologies in advance) because i was struggling with my mental health these past days and tried to share some of my besties' posts.

anyways, it was a good month! i only read 6 books, but i really really really enjoyed them and had a good time, i even discovered new authors and applied for new arcs.

i was still weak af after donating blood because my weight is almost at the limit of what's permitted to donate, lmaooo, so i almost passed out when i saw that big needle in my arm. but it felt good to do something good and that i hope it helps people.

🎀 : i'm a bit late, as always, lol, but i finally did my mid-year reading check-in, and even though it's messy, here it is.

i consider i've been reading a bit more, given the fact that i used to have a 7-4 job where i could barely read 10 pages daily, but now i'm at a new place where i work from 16:00-00:00 and i can finish books in 2-3 days, which makes me happy.

i hope the rest of the year brings more good books.

🪐: this song made me cry so much, and it's so dear to me, even more because it's a collab with robert smith, and i love the cure so much.

♡ : anyways, these books made me cry like a baby, for weeks, they broke me and still haunt me every single day.

🫧໌ : i want to highlight Addie LaRue, because i read it back when i was so depressed and sad, i couldn't even leave my bed. it was like reading about me, it hit home and i cried so so so badly, and i needed it because i had months without feeling something. it's so dear to me.

This is a book perfect for the summer! I am trying to read more rom-coms and romance books in general, and I must admit that this was a pleasant surprise.

Leaving aside the romance, this book was fun, witty and sassy. The friendship, the rave fights, the goats, the women with guns, Miguel and the goats... Everything was real good.

I enjoyed this book so much and I was glad I requested this book for the cover and description only because I found myself laughing, giggling, kicking my feet in the air and even tearing up because I didn't want it to end. It's why it took me a bit longer than expected.

Pub date: July 20, 2026.

⠀·͜·♡ Arizona Cleary is a realtor who is raising her teenage brother, Austin. She intends to sell a new home in San Diego to the newest addition of the hockey team, Levi Nixon. However, he isn't convinced about the first one, nor the second one, nor the tenth one... Until the 32nd house.

⠀·͜·♡ Levi Nixon is a playboy, a hockey player who has no time to engage in a serious relationship and who has been transferred to another team for his problematic behavior. He finds himself in trouble when a preteen knocks at his door... And suddenly, he and Arizona pretend to be married.

ᐧ.˳˳.⋅ ି♥︎ I found myself practically DEVOURING this book. I really enjoyed it and laughed so much. I fell in love with Maisie and Austin. Maisie is such a cutie, gods, I want to protect her with my life. And I loved Austin's sassy attitude, lol.

　﹟ ៸៸✧͏ As I mentioned before, there's more than romance. There's depth and complexity in each character, and it's something that I really liked and enjoyed. Arizona is such a strong character, omg, I wanted to hug her so badly and tell her that things were going to be okay.

　﹟ ៸៸✧͏ I saw some reviews praising chapter 25, but hello??? Chapter 28 had me in tears.
