Just a gal who loves books 😍📚

I felt like introducing myself again: Hi, I’m Aimee! I live in Australia, and I’ve been a lifelong lover of books.

I created this account for me, and me alone. I wanted to share a love of books, and have a place where I can just be silly and weird and have fun around my love of books. Sometimes I’m filled with inspiration for this page, and sometimes I go weeks without posting 😅

If you’re here, welcome! I love meeting new people and chatting books. Can’t promise I’ll read your recs - I’m a firm mood reader and just can’t make myself read things I don’t want to!! But I am always happy to have a chat, either in the comments or DMs.

I love being part of the bookstagram community in whatever way, shape or form suits my life. I work a busy job as an SLP so things can fluctuate! I’m looking forward to lots more fun and silliness here in the time to come 😂 by @readeraimee

Book Review: Burn of The Everflame by Penn Cole ❤️‍🔥

I LOVED the conclusion to this series. I do have one very specific thought about the ending, but very spoilery so I can’t share but DM me if you want to talk 😂

Is there a book series that you are excitedly awaiting the next book?

September Reading Wrap Up 📚

I read 14 books in September, which included 3 rereads. I had to reread TLH before the movie came out! Also, I travelled for half of September so rereads and audiobooks helped while I was traversing through Asia.

What was your favourite read in September?

Book Review: Trust Fall by Lynn Painter 🍂

This book was cute, and I enjoyed it. It’s everything you’d expect from a Lynn Painter YA book. I’ll stand by what I said after Fake Skating though - her YA characters are always verrrrrrry similar.

Thank you to the author, @simonschusterau & @netgalley for the eARC of this book 🥰

Have you read any of Lynn Painter’s YA books - and if so, which is your favourite?

Double post today because I meant to post this at the end of August but life got away from me.

I loved this book! It was such a great read, and definitely one I’d pick up again. So happy it’s now out in the world for everyone to enjoy.

Swipe for my review, and let me know what you’re reading in the comments 🥰

August Reading Wrap Up 📚

Life is busy and I’m doing the best I can 🤗 found some time for some books in August - grateful to @hoopladigital because audiobooks helped me out SO much 🥰

I’m overseas for half of September so we’ll see how the reading goes. It’ll either be really good or really bad 😂

Let me know something fun you have planned for September? 🤍

A photographer she is NOT, but I had to take some pics in my new @pattyjaneco shirt because not only is a beautiful 100% cotton shirt from an Australian small business - but the business is run by my friend Maddi 🥰💜 can’t wait for the next drop ✨

Remember to support your local business friends - even a follow, like or a share helps! ✨@pattyjaneco✨

I cannot wait to wear this shirt out and about!!

July Read Wrap Up 📚

Well that’s another month done for 2026 and another six books on the docket for me. It ended up being a great reading month!

I’m not big on a reading goal - I set mine for 26 (aka the year), which I have passed at this point. I wonder if I’ll crack triple digits this year… I’m really trying to bring down my physical TBR at the moment.

How are you going with your reading goals this year so far?

June Reading Wrap Up 📚

I read 6 books in June! The last month ended up being really busy so I’m impressed with myself that I got through 6… but to be fair I read two books last weekend alone 😂

This month also houses a DNF (sorry Rites of the Starling, I just couldn’t do it) and my first nonfiction read.

I can’t believe we’re halfway through the year! Time is flying 😩

What was your favourite read from June?

Who wants to come over and play Fourth Wing Monopoly with me?! 🔥 I promise it won’t end our friendship 😂

I love board games (my family is VERY competitive) and I love Fourth Wing! It was a no brainer for me. And the little details are so cute!! The box looks like the book! The daggers are currency! You play as the dragons! The locations are all from Fourth Wing!

I can confirm that there are no spoilers from Iron Flame & Onyx Storm in the game itself. I think even someone who hasn’t read the book could play (although no promises for spoilers there 👀).

Ah @rebeccayarros I hope you are so happy with how it turned out 😍🥰🔥

Sometimes I surprise myself. What was the last book you read in a quick time period?

I read this book in 24 hours!

And before you ask - yes I cried (a lot actually). This one was so enjoyable!! I loved the way Katherine described the face blindness - I really wasn’t sure how that was going to work. Sounds super scary as an acquired condition… I know I’d really struggle if I could no longer identify faces!!

I gave this book 4.75⭐️

Swipe for peekaboo 🐶
