i am obsessed with this book!! i will likely not complete my reading challenge of the year … i’ve realized this and accepted it with totality and will try again next year. still, i am very content and pleased with picking this book up recently. i’m taking my time.

currently reading: ‘Giovanni’s Room’ by James Baldwin.

my second Baldwin book and i am in awe. i am about halfway through this book and i can tell it’s going to crush me; it feels like a subtle ache, persistent, always there and waiting for me to notice it. although, inevitably, i knew this from the beginning…

also, i did not plan this picture! i was taking a picture and little bug was curious of what i was up to and stood over my book and i took the photo hehe :3

i’ve finished ‘fleabag: the scriptures’ and wow! i wish i hadn’t finished it in my car during my lunch break because i was fighting against every force in this world to not burst into a loud sob. i know if i’d been home, i would’ve cried endlessly. this is the first script i read in full entirety, i’ve always wanted to dabble in reading scripts and i’m so glad this one was my first. it’s sort of special (looks at the camera). i’m obsessed with this story and with fleabag, one of the most powerful and captivating protagonists i’ve read to date. i love her. i love this story. it’s seriously hilarious, profound, heartbreaking and real. thank you to the powerful almighty phoebe waller-bridge, amen.
