As organisers, we wanted to take a moment to share our position on the use of generative AI at Readers & Rebels.

Support human creatives.
If you're one of our attending authors or vendors and would like to discuss this policy, or if you have any concerns regarding a participant, please don't hesitate to contact us directly. We want you to know that every conversation will be handled privately, respectfully, and confidentially.

Where concerns are raised, they will be reviewed carefully and fairly, with decisions based on clear, credible, and verifiable evidence.

Readers & Rebels is, and always will be, about celebrating genuine creativity while fostering a supportive, respectful community for everyone.

💙 Thank you for helping us build the kind of event we'd all be proud to be part of.

This one is very personal to me - @gemlprestonbooks 🤍

Over the last 18 months, my family has had to say goodbye to both my Grandad and my Uncle Chris (father and son), and during the final months of both of their lives, St David’s Hospice Care was there for them—and for us.

There are some things you don’t fully understand the importance of until you need them. The care, dignity and support hospice teams give to people and their families during the hardest moments imaginable is something I will never forget.

So when we were choosing the charities that Readers & Rebels would support, St David’s was always going to have a very special place among them.

For me, this is for two of the strongest men I’ve ever known. My Grandad and Uncle Chris. 💛

I’m incredibly proud that through Readers & Rebels, we’ll be able to give something back to the people who helped look after them when our family needed it most.

Readers & Rebels 2027 will proudly be supporting St David’s Hospice Care @stdavids79 🌼

And I know they’d both think this whole book-event thing was absolutely bonkers. Which definitely makes me love it even more. 💛
