guys i just love sword catcher ok 😭

💬 do you have a ridiculous amount of copies of one book/ series❓

yes that is another edition of sword catcher still on my shelf. honestly i’m proud that i haven’t caved and bought the illumicrate and owlcrate editions 😬

one thing that i’ve decided to be better at this year (and have done a pretty good job of tbh) is not get more than one edition of the same book, especially if i haven’t even read it! there are some books/ series that slip through the cracks and the chronicles of castellane is one of them!

the day we get news on the bone conjurers? expect to hear from me.

i think this series is so so underrated and i need more people to read it immediately‼️ pls get on it

fantasy sequels that i need in my hands asap 🐉❤️‍🔥

💬 what’s a sequel you can’t wait to read❓

i’m sure the number of series that i am partway through is unimaginable. i am a chronic series-starter and i need to stop (i’m exactly where i want to be)

here are some of the sequels that i cannot stop thinking about! a bunch of these ended on massive cliffhangers and i have been hanging for SO long! let me up 😭

sequels releasing is the best excuse for rereading my favourite books, i love it!

there are so many more that there’s no news on yet too! *cough* the bone conjurers ⚔️

💬 do you set a yearly reading goal❓if so, are you on track?

i have spent the last few weeks trying to make reaching my reading goal even marginally possible (i was 16 books behind schedule) and i am now only 8 books behind schedule, which sounds a lot better!

i think autumn and winter do lend themselves well to lots of nights spent cosied up devouring your tbr, so i’m hoping to just fly through books naturally over the next 3 months without putting in too much of a shift now that i’ve clawed my way a little close to my goal

i do get the appeal of the lack of pressure of having no reading goal, but the reality is that i will keep buying books whether i’m reading them or not, so i’d like to make sure i’m doing my best to read a good chunk of them! also the dopamine hit of getting closer and closer to your reading goal is the best

this bookshelf houses many of my prized possession copies; i could honestly stare at it all day

the sprite and the gargoyle 🩶

a bartholomew novella! can you hear me screaming?

the book community’s most beloved gargoyle is going on a perilous quest!

i am so so excited to return to this world! the knave and the moon had me crying on public transport so i feel like i deserve this

here is the blurb in case you haven’t seen it yet:

You know this story, Bartholomew. We all, in our own way, have a story like this.

Sybil, Rory, and Bartholomew have been living peacefully in the Stonewater Kingdom for a century after the events of The Knave and the Moon. Bartholomew, the knowingest knower to ever know anything, has taken it upon himself to educate the latest young king in the ways of the world. But though King August is committed to maintaining the delicate balance between humans and sprites, she is also stubborn, academic, and devoted to reason. This simply cannot do.

So, when a new sprite with ungodly powers is discovered wandering across the kingdom, there is nothing for it but to go on a quest. And what does a King need on a quest? A squire, of course, Bartholomew.

I’ll tell it to you as best I can and promise to be honest in my talebearing. If I’m not, it is for a good reason.

💬 have you read the stonewater kingdom duology yet❓if you haven’t, consider this your sign to!

💬 do you have a book/ series you can accept zero criticism of❓

six of crows is easily one of my favourite duologies EVER

both books are completely perfect in my opinion and i never want to hear otherwise 😂

i am itching to reread these and i might just treat myself to a reread next month. i still haven’t read a darker shore yet either!

these illumicrate editions match the vibes of the books so well! i’m trying to be better at not having too many copies of the same book BUT this is one series where i will (unfortunately for my bank balance) buy every edition ever 🤭

september wrap-up 🍂📚

💬 what was your favourite read in september❓mine was the knave and the moon!

september was a bit of a crazy month! i was so determined to lock in this month and then proceeded to be horrendously ill for the first week of it 😅

HOWEVER i drank lots of coffee and consumed many baked goods to make up for the terrible start to the month ☕️🥐

i’ve made a good dent in my reading goal this month (i’m very much behind at the moment) but i’m on a roll! praying that a reading slump does not find me for the rest of the year 🙏🏻

my autumn playlist is on repeat which i feel excuses my top song being ‘i dreamt of edward’…twilight rewatch pending!!! 🦇

edna has been loving the sofa at the moment (very naughty) but she looks very sweet so i forgive her

💬 what’s on your october tbr❓

#readingwrapup #monthlywrapup #autumnreading #fallbooks #autumnvibes

ninth house ☆☆☆☆

hell bent ☆☆☆☆

dead beat ☆☆☆☆.5

💬 what’s a sequel you cannot wait for❓

rose in chains my beloved! 🥀⛓️💜

i remember binge reading this book in its entirety in like a day last may and the fact that vine of hearts is mere months away is insane!

naturally i have 4 copies because i have no self control

a couple days ago i saw whispers on @harpervoyager_uk’s story that vine of hearts might be going on netgalley soon… 👀🙏🏻

books you need on your autumn tbr 🍂🧸🧦🤎

💬 tell me a book you’re prioritising this autumn‼️

will this year FINALLY be the year i read babel? maybe!!

i seem to have an endless supply of books to read in autumn and there are simply not enough days in autumn to read them all!

give me all the witches, vampires, and academic settings immediately!

surprisingly i’ve read most of these but i definitely have a few that have been lingering for a few years!

i’m sure i’ve missed so many - i’ve already noticed that I missed off mothsblood which is one of my most anticipated reads for the rest of the year!

💬 do you have any others i should add to my list❓

my favourite 2026 releases + their vibes 🎀🌷

💬 what’s your favoruite 2026 release you’ve read❓

yes, this made me want to reread every single one of these!

they’re all so vibey💃🏻

books mentioned:
the lion and the deathless dark
the exquisite torment of loving your enemy
steelborn
broken dove
a stage set for villains

i would defo recommend all of these, and they’re all so different so i feel like there’s something for everyone!

can i just say that it was actually soul destroying spending hours sifting through the AI slop on pinterest to make this post. pinterest did seem to have an AI label now, but there were definitely some AI generated images that were unlabelled. i made sure to find images that were at least a few years old, or that i knew were from movies, but it’s getting harder and harder to tell and it’s just such an ick!
