lets just say thank goodness i bought the next book before i started reading reckless because theres no way i could have waited for my hands to get on the next book. i cant believe i was sooooo oblivious to the ending of this book. i hate that i never try to catch the ending because i could save myself some pain BUT it does make it so much more fun to read.

i have already started fearless and i cant wait to get more into it. i am dying to know what happens next. i cant wait to see the agony between kai and pae after the ending of reckless. all im hoping for is a happy ever after 🤞🏼

can i be honest?

not my favorite book at all. i was actually really looking forward to reading this one and it fell so so short for me. i worry that its because i read it after finishing powerless (because powerless was perfect) and it caused this one to be dim in comparison.

a couple of things - the romance. boring. bland. no tension. no yearning. forced. i was so so sad about it.

esmyra - has been alive for how many hundreds of years and still acts like a whiney baby wawa? no

drae - “im soooo broody and everyone fears me” and then doesnt show me any broodiness or why anyone would fear him. sure, his father hyped up his reputation as the phoenix but not a single time in the book did i think he was this scary man with scary powers. i actually found it comical at the end of the book when he was all angry about what was happening because to me he felt like a little teenage adult who wanted to be big and bad.

anyway, have you read this one? did you like it or not?

i have been thoroughly wrecked yet again by a romanstasy series. it has been so so long since i have felt this sort of anxiety, love, stress, craze over a book after my slump. but we are soooooo back baby.

i have no clue if the next book i read will get me just as good and i am so worried. for context, i decided to start reading a wraith beneath the tides which ive heard great things about so hopefully it lives up to the expectations.

hiii still awful at trying to get back on here. i want to i really do but man am i in a reading slump or what!!! ive been reading brimstone since it came out and i am struggling BUT there is light at the end of the tunnel because i am 90% through it!!

march wrap up and the books i read <3
so thankful march happened and pulled me out of my reading slump!! i finally feel back to being myself :))

this month was a lot of reading and enjoying time with my doggy and boyfriend <3

i am now disgustingly obsessed (like all of you) with this book and i will no longer shut up about it. i feel like such an idiot for refusing to read it for so long. i am here to say: you guys were right, i was wrong. i can admit my faults.

speaking of faults, i was the idiot who didnt have the second book ready at hand to pick up once i finished the first book, so i immediately made a pick up order (for the second AND third) late in the evening to have it ready for bed time.

i am chomping at the bit to know what is happening next. i started the next book and currently at 12% and i am baffled this book is so short compared to the other two.

current read and october in new mexico (aka the best month ever and not just because its my birthday month)

this past week we went to the balloon fiesta and SAW A WICKED BALLOON (and i was totally chill about it). balloon fiesta is quite literally the most magical event ever and i will never get tired of it!

currently im reading ninth house and i am STRUGGLING it took me three days to get to page 40. now im a litttttle more interested but im still only like 26% through. someone give me strength and inspiration to continue this book because it is highly recommended by many people on here….

i have to confess….i havent read the powerless series….

BUT i did just start the first book last night, so i will no longer have fomo. fingers crossed that i actually like the series because if i don’t i’ll be so so sad.

book mail of the month (not that i’m getting through much of anything right now…)

currently still reading ninth house and it is such a booooreee. i think ill just start reading good spirits in hopes that it revives my reading life because right now it is down the drain.

i have officially finished my mat pilates course through balanced body and start teaching at a mat studio in november :) now just 125 student teaching hours and many more between reformer training, personal sessions, and observation hours until i test out heheh
