What better way to close out summer than with a sickly sweet slasher?

I had so much fun reading Tastes Like Candy by @bloodandlacy
✅ Halloween themed amusement park
✅ Creative kills
✅ A masked killer

Between the changing viewpoints, descriptive scenes, and the hidden identity of the killer, I couldn’t put this one down. Now I’m ready for a night at SCarowinds, who’s joining me? 👻 by @readinglittleace

Just an update on my trek through the Rinaverse

My goal is to finish it by the end of the year, only 26 more to go 🥳

Yes, I’ve dedicated an entire notebook to this. Yes, I bedazzled the sticker. Yes, I’m kind of obsessed.

What a wild listen.
The details were exquisite. The body horror was uncomfortable and grotesque. The motivation was interesting.

If you’re into women’s rights and wrongs, and can handle some gnarly descriptions, you’ll enjoy this one. 👁️🥢

🩵It’s In His Kiss by Julia Quinn 🩵

SPOILERS

The seventh of the Bridgerton children’s love story, Hyacinth’s!
Hyacinth’s love story was so fun and felt different from the rest of the other one’s so far. Hyacinth and Gareth’s connection felt natural and fun without feeling forced. There wasn’t any scandal that spurred them getting married, which was a nice change. I liked getting to see Anthony give his formal permission.

I LOVED the underlying mystery with this one. The search for jewels by following clues added another layer to the story that the other ones don’t necessarily have. On top of that, the mystery of Gareth’s father was an interesting tidbit. It wasn’t exactly the same as Simon’s situation, but I could see the similarities.

Overall, a good read! I loved how much Lady D was involved. I’m interested to see how they introduce Gareth into the show, eventually.

🖤CAUGHT UP🖤
Spoilers!

I have been counting down the days to this release! This book surpassed any expectations I held. It’s fun, it’s creative, and it’s hot! I loved how this book was modernized in a way that felt natural. Sometimes content creators in books feel flat, but Lauren’s personality shone through in the background and forefront. I’ll admit, I was skeptical about Nico (Junior) after finishing Lights Out. I didn’t expect him to be a love-sick gaurd dog and he won my heart immediately.

Have you dove Into The Darkness yet?
