Some of my favorite books I read in 2025. I read almost 40 and probably my favorite book was Satantango but this answer can easily change if I’m asked again 😅I was very happy I managed to read authors from many different countries and some of them I read for the first time. I hope next year I’ll dedicate more time for books, it always makes me more centered and happier for sure. Happy 2026 to all and cheers to read even more 🥂

This is what I talk about when I talk about inspiration! @iga.swiatek posted an absolutely inspiring and beautiful text in collaboration with @legopoland_official on their campaign #dziewczynkimogąwszystko It resonated so much with me I printed it and my 3 year-old daughter and I made a poster working with key words like ‘courage’ and ‘self-confidence’. I also asked her to draw things that make her happy (a trophy for Iga is there! You might need to have a good imagination to find it 😅) and it’s now hanging on the wall in her room so she can look at it and truly think she can do anything!
Iga’s #readingwithiga2023 #readingwithiga #igareads #igaczyta inspired me to prioritize reading during my days and I sure became more focused and centered. It also made me support my daughter so I could read her even more books and this way, I was able to help her finish her own reading challenge “1000 before kindergarten”with plenty of time left. She was super proud of this achievement!
Thank you Iga you are truly an inspiration to me and to my daughter. These initiatives alongside your mental health advocacy truly bring the kind of reflection and action that affect change and instill important values. Much love and admiration for you in our household! 🥰 by @readingwith1ga

No better day than World Book Day to promote reading. As an initiative to pass on the message of @iga.swiatek ‘s #readingwithiga2023 #IGAREADS #IGACZYTA challenge I made some simple bookmarks in this theme and donated some books to our local “take a book- share a book” box. This challenge was the one that reignited my love for books and I thank Iga for this.
Let’s read everyone! It’s such a rewarding and edifying activity!

The beginning of 2024 has been so busy but in the spirit of keep sharing my reading impressions, I’ll try to keep posting about my readings this year even after the #readingwithiga2023 #igareads challenge ( I hope it will continue in the future 🤞)
—>Address Unknown by Kathrine Kressman Taylor- impossible not have a shiver down the spine from reading the exchange of letters between Max, a Jewish art gallery owner and his friend Martin of German nationality who decides to go back to Germany just as the ascension of the Nazi party is taking place. It’s such a short book but powerful in being a cautionary tale of the poison extreme views unleashes in society and destroys relationships.
—> All My Cats by Bohumil Hrabal- memoir that’s really tough to read for its descriptions of violence towards cats. If one can stomach and gets past the brutal descriptions, the reader can find a deep reflection of the author’s struggles to deal with a dreadful situation in his life which should be otherwise very comfortable, showing that even love when taken to an extreme level can have drastic effects. Also it’s interesting how the authors weaves his philosophical views about the meaning and understanding of his actions and their consequences. by @readingwith1ga

20th The Convenience Store Woman by Sayaka Murata. Here we follow Keiko, who is 36 and works in a convenience store part-time for 18 years. The story challenges the concepts of normalcy and the pressures and expectations that society imposes. Interesting and rich in discussions! #readingwithiga2023 #igareads #igareads2023 by @readingwith1ga

19th The Ballad of the Sad Café and Other Stories by Carson McCullers. Great descriptions of settings and feelings to prepare the stage to peculiar characters who become universal in their awkwardness and solitude. The title story is a magnificent Southern Gothic. #readingwithiga2023 #igareads #igareads2023 by @readingwith1ga

18th The Royal Game by Stefan Zweig. An unlike game of chess between a heartless, unintelligent chess grandmaster versus a fugitive in a cruise ship but it’s a really a clever allegory of Europe and world players during the Nazi ascension. Great storytelling!#readingwithiga2023 #igareads #igareads2023 by @readingwith1ga

17th Letters to a Younger Poet by Rainer Maria Rilke. Those are Rilke’s letters giving advice to an aspiring poet. A lot is discussed about creating art but I think everyone can take lessons of doing things you love with purpose, meaning and authenticity. #readingwithIGA2023 #igareads #ogareads2023 by @readingwith1ga

16th Family Ties by Clarice Lispector. Short stories which are written mainly as streams of consciousness. The main characters usually find an epiphany in an ordinary situation, making them rethink the weight of their decisions and contemplate their place in life. Fantastic! #readingwithiga2023 #igareads #igareads2023 by @readingwith1ga

15th - The Giver by Lois Lowry. In a dystopian society where people are devoid of choices, we follow Jonas who was picked to be the Receiver of Memories. A good discussion on the importance of question what’s imposed to us and learning from the humanity’ past. #readwithIGA2023 #igareads #igareads2023 by @readingwith1ga

14th The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie by Muriel Spark. The lives of Miss Brodie and a group of her students are shown in many flashbacks and flashforwards While Miss Brodie instilled a set of values in them, manipulation also ensued. One of them betrays her. Such complex characters! #readingwithiga2023 #igareads #igareads2023 by @readingwith1ga
