Today I’m spotlighting Strong by @robkearney and @ericrosswood! This is such a gorgeously illustrated and heartfelt children’s book. I loved it so much I also put it front and center for our pride display at @octavias_bookshelf!

Well friends, I’m starting 2023 off with two jobs and going back to school! Don’t get me wrong I’m so excited for the opportunities that have presented themselves to me but I’m afraid I won’t have much time left for reading or any leisurely activities whatsoever soooooo here are my Jan 2023 hopefuls 🤧

It’s my day to review Self-Made Boys by Anne-Marie McLemore for @pridebooktours and I’m so excited to share my thoughts about this incredible book! 🫶🏼

🤍 Spoiler-Free Review 🤍

This is the first book by Anne-Marie McLemore I’ve read and I absolutely devoured it. Self-Made Boys is remix of The Great Gatsby that is incredibly well-written and full of diverse queerness that translates so well on paper. I swooned, I cried, and I loved every page of this book. Highly recommend if you enjoyed the original Great Gatsby and want a fresh take on the classic story.
