NBR; @positivelykyle & I renewed our vows today on our 12th wedding anniversary at the park we first met at ever! Earlier this year we decided we wanted to renew our vows to start anew in our relationship after the hardships I’ve seen the last 5 years. Not only was I suffering, Kyle was too, seeing me suffer. Our marriage is stronger than ever after everything I (we) have been through. I am so blessed to be able to call you my husband. I love you so much. Today was perfect.

The Monday Blues. Let’s talk about it.

In honor of National Suicide Prevention Awareness Month, I wanted to talk a little bit about it. Depression is such a debilitating illness that affects so many of us. Whether it’s situational, chemical imbalance, or anything in between, it is not to be taken lightly. I, myself, have struggled with depression since I was a young child. I have struggled with suicidal ideation for well over half of my life. I still do. I have found, for myself, that finding someone or something to live for until I could live for myself has kept me here.

I had a really bad, BAD day today. Thankfully, I was able to conjure up thoughts of those people (& cats) that I have continued living for in the past. I grounded myself by thinking of how loved I am.

I have a condition called pre menstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD). That means every month, I suffer from severe depression & sometimes anxiety for 10-14 days. Suicidal ideation and self harm urges come full swing. It is a battle EVERY month, some worse than others. I am in the midst of one of these battles right now, but I am here, fighting tooth & nail.

I feel like at this point, I may be rambling. But I wanted to help decrease that stigma around mental illness as a whole, especially suicidal ideation. That may be something I deal with for the rest of my life, & I want others to know they’re not alone in that. If you ever need someone to talk to, I am here for you. I may not be the most consistent in posting, but I am on here every day. I will see your message. Please stay. You are needed here.

Mini book review/rating: I Who Have Never Known Men by Jacqueline Hartman - ⭐️⭐️⭐️.5

As you can see, I didn’t love or hate this one. There were some good quotes & overall, I did enjoy it. I do think this is a great book for those who like character studies or books with a little less plot than others. As you have probably heard, the ending is very open to interpretation which I can struggle with. I think this book will stick with me & that my rating may increase over time.
