POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

I’m feeling whimsical and wanted to re-introduce myself.
Hello my name is Katty (kat-tea) and as cliche as it is, I love reading!
My grandmother on my dad’s side always sent us books 📚 for christmas and birthdays! Literature has been a big part of my life and it’s been wonderful to be part of such an incredible community of people who love to read and write <3

I would love to get to know you more, please drop a little bit about yourself and your current favourite read (: by @readingwithkatty

Being part of this bookish community has been so healing.
I’ve made some wonderful friends and have been introduced to even more wonderful authors and their stories.

A big thank you to Krystle for this gifted copy of Dawn of Chaos and Fury.

“Children know perfectly well that unicorns aren’t real […] but they also know that books about unicorns, if they are good books, are true books” - Ursula K. Le Guine

Ursula K. Le Guin was an absolute icon! She took a male dominated genre of science fiction and took it by storm. I remember reading snippets of The Left Hand of Darkness in my senior english class, and being absolutely enthralled with her writing style. Then I went off to read Tales of Earthsea and being absolutely blown away.

David said it best. She is not a write of fiction, but of imagination.

I am so incredibly grateful to Zando for this #gifted copy of Conversations on Writings. Having opened the book and read David Naimon’s ‘In Memoriam’ to the first passage in Ursula’s words on how she felt about interviewers who only read the press release of a book. Ursula was a force to be reckoned with.

Though Ursula passed nearly a decade ago, Conversations on Writing is a great way to pick this legendary writer’s brain and appreciate how she viewed different topics.

I highly recommend that you read Tales of Earthsea and comeback to this little book on Ursula’s thoughts on writing. I promise you’ll be just as captivated by her as I was.

So darn excited to be part of @acwonderlandwrites street team. I was introduced to A.C when One Shot released. It was such a great book where I saw so much of myself in the FMC as she grieves her brother who passed in a tragic accident. Now learning to heal while being back in the place she is constantly reminded of him was so real!
I can’t wait to share more of A.C’s books 📚 with you all by @readingwithkatty

So grateful to the wonderful folks at @harpercollins and @htp_hive for gifting me this beautiful deluxe edition of Audrey Niffenegger’s book Life Out of Order.
The Time Traveler’s Wife had me in a chokehold when I was 18. I am over the moon 🌙 with pure excitement to read this novel and get a different perspective on time travel through Alba’s story and journey.

Happiest of release days to Bitter Love by Elleese Black!!

If you are unfamiliar with Elleese Black, I highly recommend you familiarise yourself with her work. Elleese never fails to leave me in a puddle of tears and emotions.

Bitter Love is no exception! I absolutely love the dynamic between Malcom and Violet. From friends, to strangers, and then possibly more 👀

If you need a feel good cry, please go checkout Bitter Love, available now on KU!

While I recommend starting with the Healing in Cincy series, you can definitely start at With Love, From Philly. by @readingwithkatty
