Windy City Series by Liz Tomforde 🌿
Avg rating 3.85/5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️✨

Fun fun series to mix into your fall TBR. All ties together really well but towards the end it feels repetitive just with different story lines. Totally rom com vibes where you know what’s going to happen but I enjoyed the characters so glad I read it ◡̈

Parting ways with this series tomorrow so someone else can enjoy it. Always tough getting rid of books but it’s also cool to know someone will get to experience it for the first time.

The Women by Kristin Hannah 🌿
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✨ 4.25/5

Kristin delivers, as always. I’m always intimidated by the size of her books then I read them in like a week. Absolutely loved (almost) everything about it. The Rye twist was insane and surprised me entirely. It’s hard to not compare every KH book to each other because I feel like every time I read one it’s always my favorite book but I will say I enjoyed great alone and nightingale more. I think I suspected the ending a little bit and just waited for it to happen.

Anyways, this was such a good time and I’ve been talking about it a lot recently to my patients, friends and family. Waiting to hear what some of them think 🥲

Heartwood by Amity Gaige 🌿
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4/5

Ugh!! All my outdoor enthusiast friends would absolutely love this one. A young nurse goes missing on the Appalachian trail. Cheryl Strayed but make it fiction & mysteryish. Fast read, I really really enjoyed it.

Hello Beautiful by Ann Napolitano 🌿
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5

Character development, diversity, and emotion. This is an incredible book, one of those that stay with you for awhile!!!!

This makes me finally want to pick up little women that I have such a beautiful edition of.

Atmosphere by TJR 🌿
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5

A must read author of mine. Almost as good as daisy jones in my opinion, but not quite. Oh my god and Evelyn Hugo, wow how would I even rank these. This one is definitely up there. I loved it and the foreshadowing between chapters was easy to follow which is hard to do. I included some of my favorite passages which the middle of the book was full of.

Beyond a reasonable stout - Ellie Alexander 🌿
⭐️⭐️⭐️ 3/5

Love that I can come back to this cozy mystery story as I work my way through the series. It’s crazy to me how much you grow as a reader and your interests change over the years. However, I will finish the series and I’m excited for it 🫶🏼🫶🏼 Gotta get back to Leavenworth eventually!

The God of the Woods by Liz Moore 🌿
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✨ 4.5/5

Took me awhile to get my hands on this one and sheeeesh I understand why. It was slow at times but did keep my attention pretty well. The ending was great couldn’t have been better. I do agree with other reviews that the characters swap/POV between chapters is somewhat confusing. But not enough to deter me I loved it!!

Five Brothers by Penelope Douglas 🌿
⭐️⭐️⭐️✨ 3.5

Not anything different here. You know what you’re getting when you pick up a PD book and sometimes you just need some morals questioned 🥲

Wrong Place Wrong Time by Gillian McAllister 🌿
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5

I felt like I was in a black mirror episode while reading this. So trippy, I loved every minute of it. A great thriller if you’re looking for one, I know I’m behind. I thrifted this gem for cheap and glad I did 🏔️

The Pumpkin Spice Cafe by Laurie Gilmore🌿
⭐️⭐️ 2/5

Obviously didn’t care for this one & probably won’t be reading another one. I think if you like the cozy romance you’d like it, I mean it’s popular for a reason. Anyways, life’s too short to read books you don’t like so DNF that series!!!! This is my 2nd series I’m DNF, last one was Colleen Hoover one.

I’m patiently waiting for my loans on Libby so hopefully some good books to come & will start 3/5 of Windy City soon.

That’s all. 🫶🏼
