POSTS STORIES REELS

only took me two months to finalize and post BUT here it is!

in no particular order, these are all books that have entered my mind and stayed there. the majority are from my physical tbr, which i’m trying to really focus in on this year!

i’m very excited to share some content i gathered during my travels! while my recent trip to the philippines kept me too busy to post, i did do a lot of book-related things in the latter part of my trip. i apologize for the lack of engagement recently, but i’m excited to be more present on here in this community again! by @readswithcaro

Dear @primevideo book boyfriends 💌📚🌟

This panel was a huge highlight of Obsessed Fest for me. It was so fun hearing how each actor interpreted their character from book to screen. At the end, they each shared their thoughts and advice on love and relationships, which made the whole experience feel even more special. They brought new dimensions to characters we all hold so near and dear. From Every Year After to Your Fault: London to Maxton Hall, these men are such an important part of bringing these stories to life.

the majority of my 4+ star ratings this year! i’m at 170 books read this year, but color matching book covers to the palette was still a challenge for me. super fun to make and remember/reflect back on some of my earlier reads this year by @readswithcaro

book nook weekend '26 📚🥂🍃🪵

throwback to a reader retreat i went in with a group of friends! the whole idea of it was to rent a cabin and spend the whole weekend reading. escaping my typical day to day routine and escaping for a couple days was exactly what we all needed! this trip fell right in the middle of my throne of glass read, so i got to spend the whole weekend back in the world of Erilea.

happy threshing day🐉⚡️

It must’ve been fate that I finished Threshing Day (the book) on Threshing Day. I’ve missed this world so much! I haven’t been back to it since Onyx Storm came out last year, so getting to return to it with this new book felt extra special. What are y’all’s thoughts, theories, and feelings over the book?!?

@araelis_library and I celebrated the midnight release at @bnrockwalltx, and they planned so many fun activities for us, including coloring, a scavenger hunt, MASH, and so much more! Such a fun way to celebrate a new addition to this world!

@araelis_library and I’s new books right at 11:00 pm!

Threshing Day MASH and coloring - I got a blue Morningstartail in the game!

Forgot to do this bingo because there were soooo many activities for us to do!

The dragons are roaming!

This origami was so cool but so hard! I gave up on step 6…

if you haven’t already gone on dragonkind.com, stop everything you’re doing and go now!

I have no thoughts on what’s coming next in this world…

Peep my dragon’s nickname "Bro"! I had to ofc keep his full name a secret

Okay so when is Fourth Wing #4 coming… by @readswithcaro

advance screening of the love hypothesis 🔬💗🧪📖

This movie was amazing, perfection, and everything I dreamed it would be! Between Dr. Evil, the science metaphors, silly nerdy moments, and Lili Reinhart, this movie was everything a book lover could hope for. Olive and Adam had me giggling and kicking my feet the whole time! I loved getting to watch this in a theater filled with readers. Getting to share experiences like this with the book community makes all the difference!

Thank you to @bergielicious35 and @taylor98smith for hosting this at @angelikafilmdallas! And a big thank you to @primevideo for making this advance screening of @thelovehypothesismovie possible!

Can’t wait to rewatch on release day, this Wednesday, September 23rd! Set your alarms and reminders, so you don’t forget!

Obsessed Fest in 20 seconds 🎬💗📖

I’m still feeling the post event hangover from three weekends ago. What an unforgettable experience! Getting to be this close to the casts and teams behind some of our favorite book adaptations was such a surreal opportunity! It felt like the ultimate behind the scenes experience for readers, and it made me even more excited for all of the adaptations still to come.

“It’s the palms,” I say to our hands. “There’s a heartbeat there, or at least something happens that releases oxytocin into your system.”

As a big Annabel Monaghan fan, Dolly All the Time was the best birthday gift. I received the ARC, read it before and after pub day, and also got to see Annabel Monaghan at an event at Half Price Books, where I loved hearing about her writing process and getting book recs!

Dolly does it all: single mom to a teenage son, kindergarten teacher, caretaker for her family, running a “parking arbitrage” scheme, and somehow still Uber driving, deveining shrimp, and changing tires like it’s nothing. When a fire hits her childhood home, she returns to Whitfield to help her family rebuild. There, she runs into Stewart Whitfield, yes, those Whitfields, and ends up photographed helping him change a tire after his fiancée’s very public betrayal. That moment leads to a fake-dating arrangement: Dolly needs help with repair costs, and Stewart needs to prove he has work-life balance to his powerful family.

What starts as a deal slowly turns into something real as they learn each other’s rhythms and emotional baggage. This story feels nostalgic and comforting, blending childhood memories, family dynamics, and the ways old wounds shape who we become and how we heal. I love a single-mom romance, and this one felt emotional, grounded, and real. The character development is what makes it shine, especially Dolly, who slowly learns to choose herself instead of constantly giving until she’s depleted. Stewart’s arc complements hers beautifully, as they both confront their caretaker tendencies and learn to communicate their needs instead of just surviving them.

I flew through this in a day, especially the last half. I finished feeling completely wrapped up in it, both floaty and energized, and fully in love with the story.

I wholeheartedly recommend this and every Annabel Monaghan book! If you want a romance that feels warm, layered, and emotionally real, this is it! by @readswithcaro

onto chapter 25 🎂📖🥂

here’s 25 books (and a couple series) that i read and loved from the past year! by @readswithcaro

arcs i’ve read that have officially hit the shelves 📚🎉

i started using @netgalley back in november, and i’ve finally hit the point where many of the advanced reader copies I received are being released. reading arcs are such a gift and joy as a reader. i love that i’m able to read some of my favorite authors’ releases early, and it has also been another way to discover new authors, especially debut ones. while i haven’t done much writing in recent years, i’ve enjoyed finding a voice again in writing reviews. it’s cool to see how my first couple of arc reviews compare to now. i’ve definitely changed how i format them as well as what i spend time to focus on. if you want to see my full reviews and other arcs I’ve read and rated, check out my goodresds link in my bio!

here are 6 of my arc reads that had their pub day recently! there’s a good combination of books by some of my favorite authors and also new authors to me.

my 3 word takeaways of each of these books:
