only TWO! more days until we get to see THE olive smith & adam carlson on our screens! i actually cannot believe it! 🧬🥼🧪💗🔬🧫

the love hypothesis was one of the first romance books i read when i got into reading, and ever since i feel like i’ve been chasing the high! adam & olive will always be the most iconic grumpy x sunshine!! @alihazelwood is truly a one of a kind author and everything she writes, i devour! I can’t wait to see this story come to life, i am legit counting down the hours till i can press play

recommended to me by my booksta bff @madison_isreading and i immediately bought it because who doesn’t love a pirate rake x runaway heiress romance???

oh em geeee this was delightful! i adored the premise of this book. we meet ruby ballimore & her two closest friends, alice and tamsin as they devise a plan to stay at an abandoned princess’s summer house. but we also come to learn that captain malcolm archer & his crew are there, working hard (aka running a smuggling ring). it’s a face off between the two filled with flirty witty banter and i ate it up 👏🏻

i LOVED how true to themselves ALL the characters are. i loved seeing ruby come into her true self, and malcom absolutely down bad for her. and when i say we’ve got yearning, we’ve got YEARNING!! UGH my heart was just bursting with little sparkles at every one of their interactions🥹🥹 also ruby’s friends & malcolm’s crew actually had substance, not just side characters thrown in there. no, each one had their own personality and quirks and i loved each one

there was mystery, spice, intrigue, tension, secret missions, flirting, etc. i thoroughly enjoyed everything about this book and I can’t wait to read more from this author. i second what @madison_isreading said about this being a book for the will turner girlies, i was NOT disappointed. pick this up IMMEDIATELY for a cutie summer pirate x heiress regency romance!

(also this song is SO malcom coded so enjoy that hehe)

⭐️⭐️⭐️.75/5 (overall)

we all know how much of a sucker i am for a hockey romance, let alone a cute little interconnected duology, so when my bff @madison_isreading recommended this to me, i put it at the top of my TBR!

i loved the dynamic of both couples in each book and how there were some really good conversations about what it truly means to be in adult relationship.

the game changer: i really enjoyed the growth ian and lila took, both individually and as a couple, because there are things in life that you have to face, but that doesn’t mean you don’t have support in your corner while you do it. i loved the back and forth of “do they like me for real? or is this all for show?” the TENSIONNNN i love it!!!

the final score: i think i liked this one a bit more tbh! there was some seriously good communication between abby & jack. i loved seeing both of them finally letting their guard down and slowly but surely believing they are capable of being loved and seen the way they deserve

if you are a fan of lana, this duo doesn’t disappoint! and if you need a cutie romance to sneak in for your summer activities, i recommend! <3 by @readswithkeahi_

another fabulous novel from constanza!! i absolutely loved clytemnestra and this was high on my list to read and it delivered! i love the way semiramis is written. she understands more than people give her credit for, since she has experienced so much in her life already, but once she is in a position that holds more status, she has a lot more to learn. but boy does she learn quick, and figures out how to play the game better than the nobles around her realize. reading about her entire journey essentially from birth to where she ends up was thrilling. you learn about what it’s like to be a woman during this time period, and how hard they had to fight just to BE in the rooms where important decisions are made or conversations are held. i also really liked all the side characters too, they had their own mysteries and complex flaws and dynamics that really pulled me in and kept me reading. overall, this was a fantastic “retelling” (if that’s the right word), but more so i felt that it finally gave a powerful woman the recording of her history that it deserves.

also shoutout to my bff @claireisagrisha who buddy read this (kinda) with me while we were on our lake trip😚

after almost 4 years of being friends with my booksta girlies, some of us met up for a lake trip weekend and it. was. everythinggggg.

something about finally seeing the girls i’ve talked to only on my phone and then being together was so special! we all decided to read beach read together and that was such a cutie experience!! i will forever cherish the fact that this worked out and we were able to meet up together

once again i feel so grateful that i made this account and pursued my hobby of reading because it has led to such beautiful friendships, conversations, and moments that make me excited to live (and that may sound dramatic but we need all the love we can get in today’s world)

WE ARE SOOO BACK!!! this series is truly the gift that keeps on giving. i just adore this series and this bunch of characters we’ve gotten to know and love.

given that my previous post was about yearning recs, i’m so sad i didnt have this book in my possession to add because SEBASTIAN LAURENT??? my new favorite yearning man!! seriously, idk what ana is putting in these books, but each one just gets better and better.

the tropes?? childhood rivals to lovers, he falls first, forced proximity, slow burn; COME ONNNN I’M HOOKED! the banter, the yearning, the competitiveness, it all had me engrossed and i had to slow myself down because i’ve been waiting for this to come out for ages. i truly loved getting to explore more into seb and maya, they are so beautifully written.

def one of my favorite books of the year and if you haven’t dove into this series, you should because you will NOT be disappointed!

hiiiii lovers! i loveeee a good yearning & angst trope so i’m sharing some of my favs! truly, there is nothing like feeling the tension & angst of a yearning (and even slowburn) romance. i literally stay kicking my feet in anticipation HA. i will always root for a true yearning man ☺️
