Meet the bookstagrammer! Inspired by @weekendcoffeereads and the book bestie trend, I thought this would be the perfect way to introduce my reading taste!

Let me know in the comments how similar are our reading tastes? What genre do you think we’d be book besties in? The higher the score (max 540), the closer our taste!

Hey there! I’m Amanda, and welcome to ReadThrowCraft

I started this little corner of the internet as a low-stakes, happy space to share the stuff I love—books I’m flipping through, discs I’m throwing, and cards I’m crafting from scratch.

I’ve always had a handful of hobbies (ok maybe more than a handful 😅), and wanted one place to post all the joy they bring without worrying about matching a theme or being too polished. Just cozy, creative chaos!

So if you’re into stories, flight paths, and handmade things—stick around! Can’t wait to connect with fellow hobby lovers!

A Birthday Book Haul to celebrate being 24! I recently won @read.with.jordy’s @bookshop_org giveaway, and decided to pick out two of my most anticipated reads! Can’t wait to read them later this year!

I’ve heard such good things about The Correspondent by Virginia Evans. While I tried to listen to it as an audiobook I had a hard time connecting to the story in this format. So I’m excited to give the story another try with the physical book!

I also found out about Plant Lady by Minyoung Kang from @mandyrulezzz and got really intrigued by the premise. I’m excited to dive into this one, too!

One final author event for my bookish summer! It was so much fun getting to meet H.M. Wolfe and Nelle Nikole on her (Sold Out) Raleigh stop of her tour for Daggermouth!

If you saw on my page this first half of the year, I took my time with this book and soaked up every moment (as evidenced by the colorful array of tabs, that Wolfe can be seen admiring in the last photo). Looking forward to rereading this in the future before the release of Python.

As always, thanks to @quailridgebooks for putting on a fantastic event, this time with a beautiful partnership with the amazing @ncsulibraries

A little library adventure was the perfect way to spend the evening 📚✨

Checked out a bunch of Little Free Libraries around Mason, Michigan with my boyfriend’s aunt and sister — because there’s nothing better than good books, cute stops, and even better company.
Scroll to see all the libraries I found along the way 💛📖

Last night I got to attend the Raleigh stop on @nicolefcarr tour for her new book, “The Price of Exclusion: The Pursuit of Healthcare in a Segregated Nation”. The event was held at the fabulous @quailridgebooks and moderated by ABC11’s Joel Brown! Nicole and Joel had such an amazing conversation talking about so many important issues the country has historically and continues to face, along with the personal connection Nicole has to the material through her great grandfather. I have so many notes and quotes from the event and can’t wait to dive in and annotate the book once I start it!

What made it an even more amazing evening was the opportunity to (finally) meet Patches, the Owner of the @morbidlycuriousbookclub, and Cam, who runs the @mcbctriangle chapter). It was so much fun getting to talk to these two and get some inside scoop on things Patches has planned! I’m so thankful I found this weird little corner of the internet and can’t wait to get the full list for the 2027 lineup!

I guess you can say I’m officially an author event junkie! taken in Quail Ridge Books by @readthrowcraft

Introducing the Framed in Bloom Collection 🌸

Floral cards with wallpaper-inspired backgrounds that feel like tiny pieces of framed art.

These examples are all thank you cards heading out to a special group of people, but every card in this collection is blank inside and can be used for any occasion.

Which one would you pick? 🌷👇 by @readthrowcraft

Last night I got to attend my first pre-launch event to celebrate the release of Mazey Eddings 7th novel - You Won’t Forget Me.

I’m also so excited to dive into this book in the next few weeks, even more so after Mazey mentioned someone pitched it as “Fleetwood Mac, but what if it was gayer.” It was so much fun being able to celebrate this book, the incredible author and person who is Mazey, hear from another local author (Serena Kaylor), meet new bookish friends, and so much more! Brightside Books and Wine did an amazing job putting on this event with Junction West, and I’m looking forward to my next Brightside event! taken in Junction West by @readthrowcraft

📖 Daggermouth By H.M. Wolfe
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Read this if you like:
• TRUE Enemies to Lovers
• Forced Political Marriages
• Rebellion Against Corrupt Governments
• Morally Grey MMCs
• Multiple POVs
• True Feminine Rage
• & More

My prediction for my favorite book of 2026! This book had everything I absolutely love: TRUE enemies to lovers, rebelling against corrupt governments, forced political marriage, badass female characters full of feminine rage, morally grey male characters, a common enemy to hate with all your guts, multiple POVs, and so much more! I’m not one to “annotate” or tab my books, but this one was just THAT good! Maximus Serel is the President of New Found Haven, a society separated by rings, where the elites of The Heart wear masks, and if anyone outside of your spouse sees your face, both are executed. Shadera Kael is the best Daggermouth, a mercenary assassin, who is given a contract to eliminate Greyson Serel, the Executioner. However, things don’t go to plan when Greyson removes his mask and reveals his face to Shadera, leaving the Serel family to plan a forced political marriage under the guise of uniting the rings. Greyson and Shadera are TRUE enemies to lovers, often wanting to rip each other apart in both the literal and metaphorical ways. There are definitely some explicit spice scenes mixed in and so many trigger warnings (check these before you dive in!). I also can’t leave out all of the supporting characters who are main characters in their own ways: Jameson Vine (a rebel leader), Callumn Thane (the collector of secrets), and Lira Serel (the media savy princess). Looking forward to reading book 2 when it releases! by @readthrowcraft

Tonight I had the chance to attend an author event at @quailridgebooks to celebrate the release of @kristywharvey’s newest book, Summer State of Mind!

The event was absolutely amazing, and I loved hearing more about Kristy’s various works, future projects, and insights into her process! I even got up the courage to ask about The Wedding Veil, the Garner Woman’s Club second pick for our ESO chapter! Hopefully I helped plant a seed for more appearances from Babs and Julia in future books! Can’t wait to dive into more of Kristy’s books this summer! taken in Quail Ridge Books by @readthrowcraft

Closing out my last College Disc Golf National Championship 🐺💕

This tournament was one to remember—one singles round followed by three team rounds, and a whole lot of growth in between. My singles round didn’t quite go how I’d hoped (those drives just weren’t cooperating), but getting the chance to reset and come back stronger with my partner @druidnic_dg made all the difference.

We showed up for team rounds and absolutely crushed it—proof that sometimes it’s not about how you start, but how you bounce back. We shot +2 at Winthrop Meadows, +2 at Westminster Temp, and +5 at Winthrop Lake. We finished the tournament in 15th place out of 27 teams. Couldn’t have asked for a better teammate or a better way to finish out the week.

Feeling so grateful for the experience, the competition, and the memories made out on those courses. It’s bittersweet closing out my college disc golf chapter… for now.

Here’s to more local tournaments, new goals, and maybe a few US Women’s appearances in the future 👀✨ taken in Winthrop Disc Golf Course by @readthrowcraft

Final Tune-Up Before Nationals 🥏🔥

One week out from my last ever College Disc Golf National Championships, I wanted to give myself a chance to see where my game’s at in a low-stakes setting at the First Stop in the 2026 Yeet Street Discs Am Point Series presented by Innova 🥏

This last semester has been brutal (shoutout to endless assignments), so I haven’t had much time for disc golf, reading, or crafting - but it felt so good to be back out there. Went into this two-round singles tournament having never played the course, but I had an amazing card, including my Nationals partner (@druidnic_dg), which made it even better.

Performance went about how you’d expect with limited play and a new course - but I’m still proud. Round one had some tough moments, but round two?? Let’s just say the putts were dropping and the drives were feeling right 🔥

Feeling excited heading into Nationals next week and ready to have fun with an incredible group of college athletes. Let’s finish this chapter strong 💛
