The only other book that made me laugh this much was Bossypants, this is quite literally the highest compliment I can pay a book.

Lyrical, energetic, poignant, fantastically funny this is a truly brilliant memoir and I cannot belive it took me this long to get to it. About Lockwood and her husband being forced to move back in with her kooky and charming mother and her, bizarrely, Catholic priest father. To hold on to any shred of reality, Lockwood begins writing down what they say, word for word.

It’s clear that Lockwood is a poet, this book so so beautifully written but a HYSTERICALLY FUNNY POET?! My god.

Would you like to cry your eyes out on a plane? Let me recommend Atmosphere by Taylor Jenkins Reid!

Such a gorgeous love story set in NASA’s astronaut program in the 80s. I’m so late to the game on Reid, love how she completely immerses you in a topic!!

I’ve been waiting a decade for Scott Hawkins to write a new book and I wasn’t going to let “being on my honeymoon” prevent me from reading a dark ass borderline horror book about wolves and gods!!!

Loved it just as much as Library at Mount Char, I love how this man’s brain works. Plz don’t make us wait another decade again!!!!

I know it’s September when there’s a new Rachel Harrison book and I haven’t FLOWN through one like this in years!!

Fantastic characters, great commentary on friendships and how to move through eras, plus that perfect spooky scary element I love about her books. I think this is Harrison at her best!!

My favorite since Cackle!! Plus perfect for the week before my wedding.

I trust an Em Hen blurb and this book is exactly why.

Smart, gorgeous, sexy, layered, and my favorite: a slowww burn. It’s a book about two people fighting over what writing and books mean until they KISS. I fell head over heels in love with Selina and Parker and the wintery NYC literary world they live in, this is the type of book that stays in your bones.

As always @librofm with the best advanced listener copies in all the land!! This is out in October !!!!

Gorgeous!!!

Three sisters flee Tokyo, London, and the outside world to return to their childhood home- a rural coastal town in Japan. Confronting the pain of their mother’s disappearance and reconnecting with each other in a sun soaked summer.

Witty, smart, thoughtful. This was a perfect summer read after I’d rotten my brain with one too many beach reads and needed good writing.

Devoured this!!!!!!!

Obviously people love Taylor Jenkins Reid and she’s been on my TBR forever. I get it- but for me this was way more about the women in sports plot than the writing. I was riveted to each match as Carrie clawed her way back. I adored the men around her that worked so hard to make her know she was loved. I loved the resolution.

The bitch is SOOOO back.

Looking for more sports books!!!

An honest to god illness overtook me and I devoured this book in 24 hours!!!

I read dozens of historical romances and this felt like a breath of fresh air, so smart funny and SEXY! The banter, the families, the dictionary, it all worked seamlessly. The comp to Emily Henry is perfect, it has her effortless, not cheesy romance perfection.

Also a moment for this COVER DESIGN!!

Definition of the cute cartoon cover is MISLEADING 🌶️. I wanted a cute summer read and it was but it was also completely insane.
