۶ৎ I’m a huge fan of Studio Ghibli! My favorite movie of Ghibli are My Neighbor Totoro and Kiky’s Delivery Service (I rewatch Ghibli movies ♾️!!)

Where have I BEEN all this time??? 💕🥺

🎥 This book is truly spectacular and brilliantly written! And I thorougly enjoyed it!! 🤩
I love the portrayal of the 1960s entertainment industry.. 🎬📽️
It’s glamorous and I’m in AWE! ✨🌟🎥
All the characters are so well developed, I was genuinely engaged with them 🥺
It felt like Evelyn Hugo was real, and she was really talking right in front of me, revealing her true story..
I really fell in love with Evelyn personality, she’s such a captivating character.
She is ambitious and knows her own worth. I don’t agree with her choices, but I completely understand why she made them..❤️‍🩹
And she learned from her mistakes..
Good people do indeed make bad choices.. 🥺😢

No doubt many of my booksta friends have added this to their favorite reads...
This book is brutally honest potrayal of love in all its different forms, it’s messy, raw, and painful, but despite everything it’s so deeply human..🥺
I love how the author shows that soulmates aren’t just come from romantic relationship
This book is heartbreakingly beautiful..✨❤️‍🩹

HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK!!💕😭✨

Timeline dalam buku ini singkat tapi padat, sebenarnya plotnya juga sederhana, endingnya juga ketebak, tapi aku suka eksekusinya!!! ✨
POV yang disajikan dalam buku ini juga berganti ke masing-masing tokoh, jadi kita diajak menyelami latar belakang, isi pikiran, sifat asli, dan gimana strategi mereka buat bertahan hidup di saat terdesak seperti ini..
Walaupun POVnya singkat pada setiap tokoh, tapi aku sebagai pembaca cukup ikut masuk isi kepala mereka..
Intinya tidak ada yang bisa dipercaya selain diri sendiri.✨

Novel ini cocok buat selingan di antara bacaan-bacaan berat kalian!✨🫵🏼

But Jack refuses to tell her what happened on the night of the murder..

💭 Honestly I’m not a courtroom thriller ⚖️ reader, but I saw some intriguing reviews about this one, so I gave it a try..
And…. THIS.IS.SO.ENGAGING!!!!! I really couldn’t put it down!! 😭😭
The tension in this book builds slowly, pulling deeper into the legal battle and Leila’s personal unraveling. Everyone in this book is suspicious!! I literally didn’t know who to trust!
I was completely blown away! What an insanely brilliant storyline!
And the twists??? OMG!! No one sees them coming… Trust me! 🤯 (I AM GAGGED!!)

🙌🏼 If you’re looking for a thriller that’s actually different and not formulaic, you NEED to read this!! Thank me later!🌟🙌🏼

👦🏻 A teenager breaks into houses, and a few days later, a woman, the wife, who lives in one of those house is found dead..

💭 This is my 2nd book of Shari Lapena, I love her writing style, but unfortunately I just didn’t feel the spark with this one..
Honestly, the premise is good and intriguing, but it gets so draggy at some point..
There were a lot of twists in this book, but they lacked the impact and surprise I was hoping for..

I think you guys can skip this one. Definitely not recommended. 🫠

Definitely not my cup of tea…☕️

🌾 This book deals with themes and tropes that are just NOT my thing, but I tried to give it a chance anyway… and it completely left me underwhelmed.. 🫠
CHEATING trope is not for me.. BIG NO! 😩
Anyway, the writing is good, but the storyline is pretty average.. The twist was predictable..
I admit the author really knows how to get on my nerves! 😤

💭 No matter what the reason was, I CAN’T justify what Beth did..
She had already COMMITED to Frank in the first place, and she KNEW she HAD a choice to stay faithful, but she still chose to cheat on Frank..
Frank deserves better… 🥺
Dibandingkan Natalie (Yesteryear), aku jauh lebih KESAL sama Beth!! 🙂

Overall, this is just a casual read for me.. It’s still a decent read, even though I didn’t really enjoyed it.
Still, it’s not something I would recommend either.. 🫣
