Have you ever bought a book because of its gorgeous edges? Because I know I am not alone!

Some books are just too pretty to be left in a bookstore.... And Grim Tidings is definitely one of them! 💜
I mean.. Those edges?! I fear my wallet never stood a chance.

I bought it for the story, but those edges sold the book to me. Now the real question begins... How fast can I squeeze this into my tbr? 📚

Highland Hideaway
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/🌶️🌶️🌶️
Highland Hideaway by Lily Gold was such a cozy and comforting read. It has that perfect mix of fluffy romance, emotional growth, and just enough spice to keep things interesting.
One of the strongest aspects of this book for me was the way Summer’s ADHD was portrayed. It is clearly part of who she is, but it never defines her completely. Watching her growth throughout the story was beautiful. She starts off as someone who wants to be liked by everyone, a real people pleaser, but slowly learns to choose herself first. That journey felt very real and made her character even more lovable.
The dynamic between Summer and the three men was really well done. Each of them brought something different to the story. You have the broody one, the golden retriever, and the one who tends to avoid things, which created a nice balance. The chemistry develops in different ways with each of them. Some connections are instant, while others take more time. Especially with Alec, the build up was slower, but when it finally clicked, it really paid off.
Fraser was definitely my favorite, but all three of them had their own charm and depth. It never felt like they were just there for the sake of the trope. Their individual personalities and struggles added a lot to the story.
The romance is very character driven, and that really works here. You can see that not only Summer grows, but Alec does as well. I especially appreciated how, even in the epilogue, it shows that growth is ongoing. Healing is not linear, and even with progress, old habits can still surface. That felt very honest.
The spice is there, but not overly present. The scenes are well written and fit the story perfectly, which made them feel more meaningful.
If I had one small critique, it would be the pacing. For a fluffy romance, the book felt a bit long at times. You know that moment is coming where things go wrong before they get better again, but it takes quite a while to get there, which made the story feel longer than necessary in parts.
Overall, this is a cozy, healing, and feelgood romance that I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a fun why choose story with heart. by @readwithlit

I really enjoyed A Killer Kind of Romance by @letizialorini.writes Even though this is a murder mystery romcom, the story felt surprisingly light and easy to read. At the same time, it does touch on some heavier themes, so proper trigger warnings would definitely be appreciated.
I absolutely loved the main character and found myself connecting with her quite a lot. One detail I really enjoyed were the chapter openings. Using different tropes as chapter titles was such a fun and creative choice and instantly set the tone for what was coming next.
The found family aspect was done beautifully, and I am always a sucker for a he falls first trope. The chemistry between the main characters felt natural and effortless. It never felt rushed, but it also never dragged, which made the pacing feel just right throughout the book.
This story kept me engaged from start to finish and was simply a really enjoyable reading experience. The only reason this was not a five star read for me is that it did not quite give me that full wow feeling I personally look for in a top tier read, even though I genuinely had a great time with it.
I would absolutely recommend this book to romance readers, but also to anyone who enjoys a murder mystery with a lighter, romcom style twist.

Desserts for Stressed People genuinely surprised me. For a debut novel, this book is incredibly well written and polished.

The slowburn was perfectly paced and made the tension feel so worth it. The enemies to lovers dynamic worked really well, although it did go a bit back and forth toward the end, which is why this was a four star read for me instead of five.

I loved the FMC. She is confident, capable, and a true badass in her work. The MMC’s trust issues felt realistic and understandable, and I really appreciated how their personal struggles strengthened their relationship rather than pulled them apart.

This is a character driven, feelgood romance with a touch of spice. Not many spicy scenes, but the ones included were well written and fit perfectly.
