The Therapist – Charlotte Stevenson ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5 📚 ARC Review 📅 Release date: Thursday 5th November 2026 After finishing and absolutely loving The Patients, Charlotte very kindly sent me an ARC of the sequel, The Therapist, ahead of its release this week. I was so excited to get stuck in and couldn’t wait to see where our main characters would go next! Just like The Patients, this book was fast-paced from the get-go. It was packed full of drama, suspense and those same wonderfully unhinged female main characters from the first book!!! This was fantastic! The perfect sequel that tied everything together and wrapped up the story so nicely. There were plenty of twists and turns along the way, with lies, secrets, betrayal and manipulation – everything you could want in a brilliant psychological thriller. If you haven’t read The Patients yet, consider this your sign to pick it up! Then make sure you follow it straight away with The Therapist. These two books make the perfect thriller duo and are definitely two books I absolutely loved. I can’t wait to read more from Charlotte Stevenson! ❤️ #bookreview #bookstagram #bookstagrammer by @readwithlucy_x
November Scavenger Hunt 🤎📚🔍 Another excellent scavenger hunt created by @nothing.beats.a.good.book – thank you so much for the inspiration! 🥰 Here’s what I’ve picked for this month’s prompts… 📖 A book with 11 letters in the title (excluding ‘The’) 🧠 Brain Damage – Freida McFadden (TBR) 📖 A book beginning with the letter N for November (excluding ‘The’) 👀 No One Saw A Thing – Andrea Mara ⭐️ 5/5 📖 A book with a bonfire or fireworks on the cover for Guy Fawkes Night (5th November) 🎆 The Night We Met – Abby Jimenez (TBR) 📖 A book with ‘war’ in the title or set around wartime for Remembrance and Armistice Day (11th November) I had to ask Nicola for an alternative prompt, so I went with a black and red cover to represent a poppy. 🖤❤️ Bad Blood – Jennifer Lynn Barnes (TBR) 📖 A book set in Scotland for St Andrew’s Day (30th November) 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 The Hunting Party – Lucy Foley ⭐️ 2.5/5 📖 A book with a man on the cover for Movember, raising awareness of men’s mental health 👨🏻 The Catch – T.M. Logan ⭐️ 4.5/5 A lovely mix of books for this month’s prompts! Some I’ve already read and loved (or not so loved!), and a few more to add to that ever-growing TBR pile 😂📚 Have you read any of these? What would your picks be? 🤎 #bookstagram #bookstagrammer #booksbooksbooks by @readwithlucy_x
A Court of Mist and Fury – Sarah J. Maas ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I’m so excited to be continuing my ACOTAR journey, I loved ACOMAF sooo much! This book was just fantastic. Beautifully written, with such incredible character development (Rhysand, I love you 😭). I genuinely never thought I’d see the day where I’d be sobbing over a romantasy book, but chapter 54 actually destroyed me. I loved this one so much more than the first book. Feyre is incredible and has quickly become one of my favourite female leads. I absolutely loved watching her grow and develop throughout the story. The ending had me in a complete chokehold, and I am sooo excited to pick up the next book! I honestly can’t believe I’m reading fantasy books and loving them this much, but this was an easy 5-star read for me. No notes, just perfection! I’m also so excited to see more character development from everyone in the Inner Circle and Feyre’s sisters in the next books. 🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼 Huge shoutout to my WhatsApp fantasy girls for encouraging me to read this one for so long 🫶🏼✨🙌🏼 And to my fellow fantasy beginner @onemorechapterwithlou 😍🤍 #bookreview #bookstagram #bookstagrammer by @readwithlucy_x

Claire Douglas – Local Girl Missing ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5 @clairedouglasauthor I am such a fan of Claire Douglas’ writing and have nearly read all of her books – I think I’ve only got a few left! All I can say is… HOW has it taken me so long to pick this one up?! 🤯🤯🤯 This was fantastic! 18 years ago, Francesca’s best friend Sophie disappeared from their hometown. Now, a body has been found, and Francesca returns to her old town to help Sophie’s brother, Daniel, uncover the truth and track down the murderer. Francesca is instantly likeable, but the added POV of Sophie from 18 years ago brings a whole new layer to the story. It keeps you questioning who to trust, and this was done so cleverly and executed brilliantly. The story is so thoughtfully written and actually quite heartbreaking, covering some really important but difficult topics. Without a doubt, this is one of Claire Douglas’ best books in my opinion, and it deserves so much more hype! I am yet to find a Claire Douglas book that I don’t fly through! 🤍📖🙌🏼 Have you read this one? #bookreview #bookstagram #bookstagrammer by @readwithlucy_x
2 4 6 8 Book Challenge 📖💕💫 Thank you to the lovely @bethsbooks3897 for the tag on this one! I loved doing it 🙌🏼 The books I have read on here have all been fantastic! I’m so grateful for so many wonderful recommendations and I can’t wait to read some from my TBR - where shall I start? 🤍 Hope everyone has a fantastic Friday 🫶🏼 #bookstagram #bookstagrammer #booksbooksbooks by @readwithlucy_x
One of the Family – Mark Edwards ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ @markedwardsauthor I’ve been wanting to read this one for the longest time, so when it came up in the 99p deals, I was so excited! 😍📚 This story follows Patrick, who is meeting his girlfriend’s family for the first time over New Year, but they’re no ordinary family. They’re a wealthy, powerful family who aren’t exactly well-liked in their Scottish town… This was absolutely fantastic! Everything you could want in a good domestic thriller. Dysfunctional families, lies, secrets, wealth and power - this book genuinely had it ALL! 👏🏻 The pacing was excellent. It drew me in straight away and kept me hooked right until the very end. Mark Edwards has a fantastic way of developing his characters, giving them so many layers that you end up loving some, hating others and trusting absolutely none of them! 👀 What initially seemed like a straightforward thriller about an unstable family dynamic turned out to have SO much more depth than I expected. I loved it from start to finish! There were multiple twists that worked so well, and I genuinely didn’t guess a single one! 😱 This was wonderful and an easy five stars from me! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ #bookreview #bookstagram #bookstagrammer by @readwithlucy_x
If you love a missing person thriller, then here are 12 books you need to check out! 📚🔎 I love trying to solve the mystery, playing armchair detective and convincing myself I’ve figured it all out… only for the ending to completely turn everything upside down 🤯 I also find missing person thrillers so much more emotional than your average thriller, especially when it’s a family desperately searching for their missing child 💔 There’s nothing better than a thriller that keeps you guessing right until the very last page! 🖤📖 Have you read any of these? What are your favourites? #bookstagram #booksbooksbooks #bookstagrammer by @readwithlucy_x
Book buying ban? We don’t know her! I’ve been busyyyy in the charity shops and have picked up some gems!! Picked up some Thrillers that I’ve had my eye on! I first saw The Headteacher by H.M Lynn on TikTok when I started reading about 3 years ago so thought I’d pick it up! Iron Flame by Rebecca Yarros and Throne Of Glass by Sarah J. Maas - obviously not the first books in these series but slowly building collections! At £1 each I couldn’t resist! The Maple Hills series by Hannah Grace - love the covers 😮‍💨👌🏼 And of course my Random Act Of Kindness book mail from the lovely @cosycoverbookreviews - thank you so much! Can’t wait to read these ones 🧡✨ #bookhaul #bookstagram #bookstagrammer by @readwithlucy_x
